ABOUT DSB

The Derivatives Service Bureau (DSB) is the first numbering agency designed to
operate on a global basis and to meet the requirements of the derivatives
markets. For OTC derivatives, the DSB is the global provider of ISINs, CFIs,
FISNs and, from October 2023, UPIs. Read on to find out more.

UPI SERVICE

The DSB has been designated as the sole service provider for the Unique Product
Identifier (UPI) system performing the function of issuer of UPI codes as well
as operator of the UPI reference data library.

UPI is designed to facilitate effective aggregation of over the counter (OTC)
derivatives transaction reports on a global basis.

OTC ISIN + CFI SERVICE

The DSB is a fully automated generator of International Securities
Identification Numbers (ISINs) for OTC derivatives. Users can search and create

opposed to Internet (SSL/TLS) or VPN. It involves offering a hosting and
connectivity environment supported by a hotline of specialised financial
technology and business professionals.

CAN I USE MY OTC ISIN SUBSCRIPTION TO ACCESS THE UPI SERVICE?

No, the OTC ISIN service and the UPI service require separate subscriptions,
with separate fees. Here’s a summary of the UPI User Types and the associated
fees.



HOW DO I ONBOARD TO THE UPI SERVICE?

UPI onboarding is done via the Client Onboarding and Support Platform (COSP).
The COSP is an online, self-service platform that will allow fee-paying Users to
perform the administrative tasks associated with onboarding and managing a UPI
subscription.

Please have your organization’s Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) ready before you
begin this process.



WHERE CAN I FIND THE UPI PRODUCT DEFINITIONS?

The UPI Product Definitions form the basis of a UPI record. These UPI Product
Definitions have been agreed by the DSB Product Committee and represent the full
set of OTC derivative products for which the DSB can create UPIs.
