LALIBELA

A Coptic pilgrimage site, it is known for its impressive 12th- and 13th-century
rock churches. Subterranean monoliths carved into the rock include the giant
Bete Medhane Alem and the cruciform Bete Giyorgis. Considered one of the wonders
of the world, the 11 churches of Lalibela, Ethiopia, were excavated from solid
rock and contain a vast underground maze of tunnels and passageways.

BLUE NILE FALLS

Known as Tis Abay, which means "big smoke" in Amharic. It is located upstream of
the river, about 30 kilometers downstream from the town of Bahir Dar and Lake
Tana. the Blue Nile Falls are a testament to Ethiopia's natural beauty. The Blue
Nile Falls are the most dramatic waterfalls on the entire Nile and most
impressive during the rainy season from June to early September.

It is surrounded by centuries-old defensive walls with several large gates,
including the Duke's Gate. The town is known for its labyrinthine streets and
traditional houses decorated with flat hanging baskets. The Halal Community
