WELCOME TO AVIATORS HOA

Circle X Airport was established in the late 1950s by Barnew Fewox as a private
airport and was later made a privately owned, public use airport and is
currently owned and operated by Triton-America, LLC (*see additional details
below).

Circle X Airport or X49 has been a hangar and home fly-in community since 1979.
We are located in the town of Mulberry (Polk County), Florida. We are five miles
from Lakeland Municipal Airport, home of the Sun' n Fun Fly-in. We are situated
between Tampa and Orlando, two of Florida's largest metropolitan areas and we
are seven miles from I-4 (East & West). We are also about five miles from the
City of Lakeland which has numerous dining facilities, cultural events and
shopping venues.

South Lakeland Airpark (X49) is a 3500 foot grass strip abutting our community.
Our residents share a common love of flying and are eager to help each other
with various airplane projects and problems.

A 1941 Culver Cadet was one of the first aircraft based in Southwind. Presently
there are about 40 homeowners in Southwind, most of who are aircraft owners.

*A sailplane operation was operated by Pat and Harriet until about 1972 when the
airport was purchased by Dr Bob Wilcox, a Punta Gorda orthopedic surgeon and Al
Nickerson, a New Jersey used airplane salesman. They each owned an undivided
half interest in the property.

When the two of them purchased the airport from Fewox, Dr. Wilcox purchased a
separate option to buy 72 acres of land adjoining the airport. This parcel
included Shepherd Road frontage from Durant Lane westward to what is now Skylane
Drive, including all of Southwind subdivision phases one and two as well as all
of the property east of Southwind Drive which includes the Wolfe property, plus
the strip along the runway now owned by five home owners.

John Engles approached Dr. Wilcox in an attempt to buy the option on the 72 acre
parcel, but Wilcox offered to sell the option only with the condition that he
also purchase Wilcox’s undivided half interest in the airport.

Engles organized a group of people including himself as general partner of a
limited partnership, Bud Clark, Rena Grotefend, Martin Jones, Mary Karne, and
Wayne Thomas, Jr. to fund the purchase of the option, the 72 acres, and half
interest in the airport. The intent was to resell the 72 acres at a profit and
to decide what to do with the half airport in time.

The contracts were written and signed and a closing date set. For whatever
reason, the land purchase and the airport purchase were written as two separate
contracts, with no relationship between them. One day before the closing date,
Nickerson filed suit to prevent Wilcox from selling his interest in the airport.
The 72 acre land purchase was closed as scheduled, the airport deal was set
aside.

In 1976, Engles sold part of the 72 acres (that portion now owned by DeFord,
Hunt, Raymond, Kern, Stoos) to Med Orthopedics and the balance of the land to
two Lakeland physicians, who chartered Circle Development Corporation to develop
an airport fly in community. Engles had meanwhile been able to acquire ownership
of the airport and worked with Circle to develop the property. They sold off a
portion including the present Wolfe property and all the Shepherd road frontage
back to the lots now owned by Harold Stoner.

In November of 1980, Engles sold the airport to Roy Dawson. In 1998 Kurtz
acquired ownership of the airport from Dobson. Triton-America, LLC acquired
ownership March 2017.
