We will help signpost you to appropriate services that can help you with benefits, health issues, employment, legal issues, and help you build links to your local community. Our staff are very highly skilled and have the values, attitude, motivation and training to help you achieve the outcomes you want for yourself. * SUPPORT Support is available 24/7 by competent well trained staff. Our processes are easy to understand and we will make sure that assessments are explained, simple and proportionate to risk. People who access our services will know what we can deliver and how we will work with them. We will work with you to deliver high quality support that considers your views, needs and opinions. Support will be centred on you as an individual. Our ethos is “Nothing about you without you” * HOUSE We will help you to access quality accommodation with support and to build personal and support networks with other agencies. We will deliver commitments to Equality ensuring that support we deliver is culturally sensitive, relevant to diverse communities across age, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation and disability. We want housing options to take account of your whole life including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. OUR WORK Our work covers a range of issues from temporary supported accommodation, through supported housing for people with mental health issues; from helping through with addiction problems to allowing people to access the private rented sector. * ACCOMMODATION SERVICES Accommodation projects supporting the needs of families and young people. * FLOATING SUPPORT SERVICES Specialist one-to-one support helping people with all their housing needs. * ADDICTION SERVICES First Housing has two specialist accommodation projects for people suffering alcohol addiction who are sleeping rough. Damien House caters for 12 men while Ramona House has 8 beds, suitable for men and women. Meals are provided; health professionals visit the projects daily and staff support is tailored to an individuals needs. Click through to the Donations page FEATURED * SLEEP OUT FOR HOMELESSNESS, 16 DECEMBER 2022, DERRY First Housing would like to thank everyone that helped with the Sleep Out for Homelessness, on 16th December 22, to raise funds for supporting homelessness. A special thanks goes to Jackie Little, a concerned member of the public, for organising the event, and to each and everyone that donated to this worthy cause. One hundred percent of all funds raised will be used in support of homelessness services in Northern Ireland. Read more * MAYOR TO LAUNCH SPECIAL 24-HOUR BUSK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR HOMELESSNESS IN DERRY The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council has called for local artists and businesses to get involved with her special 24-Hour Busk to raise worthy funds for her chosen charity. Mayor of Derry and Strabane, Cllr Sandra Duffy, has chosen First Housing Aid and Support Services as her dedicated charity for her year in office, and will host a number of fundraising events throughout the year, with the 24-Hour Busk being the largest one to date.
