FLIMBO'S QUEST - A FUN FILLED PLATFORMER IS COMING TO THE ATARI XL/XE



This weekend has just got even better as solo/ng has announced that a new work
in progress build of the Atari XL/XE conversion of ' Flimbo's Quest ', has been
released via the AtariAge forums. A game that was announced some time ago by us
as an Alpha tease through the Silly Venture 2018! For those who haven't heard of
this game before however, it was first released by System 3 for the C64, Amiga,
Atari ST and Amstrad CPC in 1990 as a 2D Platformer with great retro detail and
a soundtrack that is so upbeat you'll find it hard to stop listening to.

Some very special news has appeared in our inbox, as thanks to a heads up by
Saberman, we've been told that AttentionWhore has announced that Teletext has
come to the Commodore Amiga 'AGA'. As in the words of one reply under the 1st
place interactive winner "I haven’t even watched it yet. Just giving thumb up
for the techno breakthrough of generating teletext on Amiga. Mighty coders have
tried and failed at this task before. It should be a good candidate for a
‘technical wonder’ award of some kind next year".

MEGA WIZARDS - A WORK IN PROGRESS PREVIEW OF A MULTI-PARTY GAME FOR THE
COMMODORE 64



Even though it's getting really late and I'm almost falling asleep at the
keyboard, I thought it best to give a shout out to this game that was mentioned
to us through Facebook, and it's "Retro Gaming with Jeffrey's" latest Commodore
64 development of 'Mega Wizards'; A multi-party game that has been teased as a

HOLIDAY - AN AMIGA OCS/ECS PHOTO RPG RELEASED BY LIFESCHOOL22 VIA THE
AMIGAMEJAM2022



Something different for today on Indie Retro News, as looking through the EAB
forums for something interesting to write up, and we were contacted by
Lifeschool22, about the latest game that they created for the Commodore Amiga
called 'Holiday'. A game in which the creator says your task is to survive the
next 11 days in a climate of heat, humidity and the air smelling sweet like ripe
bananas at a Spanish resort. To coincide with this news, Saberman had done a
video of the game some time back but will be used for this news heads up.

LUNAR CITY - AN ACTION BLASTER BY TND RELEASED FOR THE COMMODORE 64



It's time for the Commodore 64 community to get a retro gaming news heads up, as
earlier today we were informed by our good friend and Youtubber Saberman, that
TND has released a new game for the C64 called 'Lunar City'; A challenging space
shooting gallery type of game that's available to download or play online via
itch io! To coincide with this news, Saberman has also done a video showing the
game in action.

AIRWOLF ENHANCED - AN IMPROVED AND MORE LEVEL VERSION OF A VERY DIFFICULT GAME!



Ask most retro gamers or people of middle age and upwards about the name Airwolf
and they'd probably tell you of a TV series in the 80's that revolved around a
rather powerful military helicopter and its crew undertaking missions with cool
action sequences. In fact living on in memory with that awesome theme tune, the
TV show did even appear as its very own game on multiple platforms such as the
Amstrad and the even the ZX Spectrum. Well it's the Commodore Plus/4 for this
news update, as we've just been told, that C64Mark has released an enhanced
version of this game originally released by Richard Ikin for Elite Systems in
1985.

CARAVANDALF - A SUPER FAST SCROLLING SHOOTER FOR THE AMIGA AGA BY PETER & GORDON

Because of the ongoing Amijam competition, we have been swamped with new Amiga
games! Games such as King Arthur, The Last Dungeon and RogueCraft, are just some
of the games we've mentioned this week. Well here's another Amiga game to play
that you'll either enjoy or feel sick playing (It's that fast), it's
Caravandalf; A Super fast scrolling shooter for the Amiga AGA by Peter & Gordon
Mackay. To coincide with this news that was sent to us earlier this afternoon,

KING ARTHUR: RISE OF THE ROUND TABLE - SWORD SLASHING AMIGA CD32 GAME INSPIRED

Another interesting news story has just hit our inbox and one I think Commodore
Amiga gamers across the globe will loading up when it's finished, is the
recently announced Amiga CD32 game called 'King Arthur: Rise of the Round
Table'; A game in which the creator says is "an action RPG inspired by Moonstone
but still very much in the middle of development". To coincide with this news,
we've got some brand new footage of this work in progress game below thanks to
Saberman.

THE LAST DUNGEON - A NEW ZELDA LIKE GAME TEASED FOR THE COMMODORE AMIGA (+DEMO)



The Amiga news just keep on coming, as thanks to another heads up earlier today
from a good friend of ours, we have been told that Pixelplop has teased a new
Commodore Amiga game via the AmiJam of The Last Dungeon; A Zelda like game in
which you have to traverse dangerous dungeons to find loot and keys! To coincide
with this new Amiga news story, not only has the creator released a work in
progress demo for you to try, but Saberman has done another video showing the
game being played.

ROGUECRAFT - AWESOME LOOKING AMIGA ROGUELIKE FROM BADGER PUNCH GAMES GETS AN

'Rogue64' by Badger Punch Games but didn't get the chance, then make sure to
check out the AmiJam demo for the upcoming release of 'RogueCraft'. A game which
could be described as a much enhanced Amiga version of Rogue64 set with a
Lovecraft-inspired theme! To coincide with this news, not only has Ricki

out there, as we've recently been informed via our good friend Nivrig Games, who
also designed the highly enjoyable game of 'Turbo Tomato'. That if you head on
over to his itch io website, you'll be able to play Nivrig's newest of creations
called 'Rogue Declan : Zero'; a twin stick roguelite shooter for the Amiga which
was originally started as a demonstration game to support the in-development
twin-stick controller from Abstraction Games!

BOMB JACK REMAKE - ARCADE CLASSIC IS GETTING AN AMSTRAD CPC REMAKE VIA ANTHONY
FLACK



I can still remember in the late 80's on my Amstrad CPC 464 playing the
brilliant Arcade port ' Bomb Jack '. It is a game that required you the player
to high jump and float about getting rid of all the bombs on the screen before
they are used to blow up historic places of interest, which is made more
difficult by the enemies on screen. So why is this game getting another mention?
Well we've just been contacted by XeNoMoRPH via our inbox, that this great game
from back in the day, is getting an Amstrad remake by Anthony Flack!

an unusual game for your Amstrad CPC, then make sure to check out Altanerus
Dog's latest Amstrad CPC game of 'LOCUS EREMUS'. A game in which the developer
describes as "a graphic adventure which is categorized as a “ click & point ”
specially designed for CPC 464 machines and tape format. Although You will have
no problem making it work on any other machine".

OOZE: THE ESCAPE - A GREAT 8BIT GAME BY ANDY JOHNS IS COMING TO THE AMIGA VIA
HAPLO!



If you have a Commodore Amiga you are going to love this news update that's been
sent to us just moments ago by Saberman, as if you remember our previous
announcement of Ooze; a game which was released for the ZX Spectrum by Andy
Johns and then a later port by Haplo, with concept and art by Andy for the
Commodore 64. Then as of today you can view the very latest footage of the
upcoming Amiga version. A version of the game which is also being created by
Haplo! To coincide with this news, as ever Saberman has done a video of the game
in action.

ATIC ATAC - ULTIMATE PLAY THE GAME CLASSIC ON THE AMIGA GETS A WIP(?) TEASE!



Ultimate Play the Game has been mentioned countless times on Indie Retro News,
especially as homebrew developers and graphical artists had taken it upon
themselves to convert/port many of those classics over to systems that didn't
have the luxury of the original in the first place. Games such as Atic Atac
being ported over to the C64 by Steven Day and Saul Cross or the most excellent
Amstrad 128k version by Steven Day, John Ward, and Saul Cross! Both of which
have been given much praise here on Indie Retro News.
