Abstract:

It is an exciting time. It is a terrifying time. Technology seems to be moving
faster than anyone could have imagined, upending industry after industry, but
providing tremendous opportunities in its wake at the same time.

This all leaves us wondering… what can we do to be Future Ready given these new
and uncertain times brought about by potent technologies like AI?

You might be surprised to know that this is hardly the first time that society
has been confronted with massive upheavals due to the introduction of the
sweeping technology of the day. Who can forget the violent riots in the late
1700s as the Industrial Revolution was taking hold? In this talk, we will look
carefully and thoroughly at several periods of history and how those eras
unfolded to give us some lessons as to how to prepare to thrive in a world that
includes AI-borne superpowers. History is the finest of teachers.

We will then shift over to a more modern take on what is going on today. Here
again we look at people and companies that can teach us more about what the
future holds. Tesla, Apple, SpaceX, and Amazon are remarkable firms with
charismatic founders, but what lessons do those companies hold for the average
business person looking to make a difference going forward? We believe that we
have uncovered some crucial features of modern-day firms that will propel them
long into the future, along with other firms that adopt their practices.

Beyond companies in business, how can individuals become Future Ready? Our
conversation will inevitably lead to those steps that people can follow to
prepare for the coming wave of technological progression. We will offer tips and
tricks to help you get ahead and stay ahead of the rapid advances. Some of this
advice is rather counterintuitive, some of this will be hard work. All of it
will cause you to stretch your mind in ways that you would not have done
naturally.

About George Danner:

George Danner is an influencer in the field of data science. He is an AI
consultant and Author of the Executives How-to Guide to Automation. He has been
solving complex business problems with science and math for over 30 years. He is
the founder and president of Business Laboratory LLC, an award-winning
consultancy that helps mid-size and large organizations improve their
performance through problem-solving, optimization, and forecasting.

George is passionate about applying the scientific method and the latest
technologies to strategic planning and decision-making. He has worked with
clients from various industries, including energy, pharma, retail, and finance,
and has published two books on automation and data science for business. He also
received the Wolfram Innovator Award, which recognizes his contribution to
advancing the usage of Wolfram Alpha, a programming language that uses
Mathematica for computational knowledge. George’s mission is to empower

Speaker registration

If you are a customer or vendor presenter, please register after you have
received emailed instructions on how to access your complimentary registration.
Vendor Speakers must be exhibiting or sponsoring the event to be eligible to
present. Speakers may register once they have uploaded their presentations to

Yes, the conference agenda lists conference meals, breaks and receptions.

How do I update or cancel my registration? How do I submit a substitution
request?

You can use the myConference registration management portal for the most
registration update needs.

If the myConference portal does not address your specific needs to update your
registration, please email registration@questoraclecommunity.org.

What should I wear to the conference?

We suggest wearing business casual attire. We also recommend bringing a sweater
or jacket, in case meeting rooms are cooler than desired (meeting room
temperatures are set at maximum seating capacity.)

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, Wi-Fi is accessible in hotel sleeping rooms and conference meeting space.
We will provide information on connecting to Wi-Fi in the conference meeting
space onsite.

Can I earn professional credits at BLUPRINT 4D?

Yes! HR, Finance and Business Analysis professionals can now earn continuing
education credits at BLUEPRINT 4D through expanded Quest Oracle Community
partnerships with the Society for Human Resource Professionals (SHRM), the
International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and the National Association
of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
