Which planet is most important in my Vedic chart?

Vedic astrology is a Moon based system, with importance also placed on the
Lagna, or Ascendent which can only be calculated using the exact time of birth.
Whilst the western Sun based astrological system is recognised for its ability
to understand the psychological characteristics and personality of a person, the
Moon based Vedic system guides us to our own inner knowing, helping us
understand the journey of our soul and guiding us on our evolution towards our
Self.

Is Vedic astrology more accurate than Western Astrology?

It is not a matter of whether one is "more accurate" than the other, but there
are some significant differences between the two to consider (see other FAQ's
for more info). In addition to the twelve signs of the zodiac, the Vedic system
also divides the sky into 27 Nakshatras, or lunar mansions, which each have
their own characteristics, symbols and ruling deity. When it comes to analyzing
a birth chart, using the nakshatras can give a deeper and even more detailed
understanding of an individual.

What is the difference between Vedic Astrology and Western Astrology?

Western Astrology uses the tropical zodiac, whereas Vedic astrology uses the
sidereal zodiac. Each has their own way of dividing the 360 degree ecliptic -
the plane of the Earth's orbit around the Sun - into the twelve zodiac signs of
30 degrees each.

The tropical zodiac is based on the unfixed sky, and is measured from the spring
(vernal) equinox. In the tropical zodiac, it is at the spring equinox each year
that the Sun is said to enter Aries, the beginning of the zodiac. However, this
system is not based on the fixed stars themselves and doesn't take into account
the ongoing change in the tilt of the earth called 'The Precession of the
Equinoxes'. Instead of being based on the astronomical position of the
constellations, the tropical zodiac is based on the orientation of the Earth to
the Sun.

The sidereal zodiac is based on the planet's actual relationship to the
constellations of zodiac stars, as per astronomical observation.

Whilst the tropical and sidereal zodiacs lined up around 2000 years ago, this is
no longer the case. They have drifted apart and there is now a difference
between them of around 23 to 24 degrees. This difference can create a
significant difference when analyzing birth charts, and is the reason that
someone can find some of their planets associated with a completely different
zodiac sign when they look at the different systems of astrology.

What is Jyotish and is align27 based on it?

Vedic astrology is also known as Jyotish, meaning the 'science of light,' and is
thought to have been revealed by the great Rishis more than 5000 years ago. It
dates back to the time of the great saint, Parashara Shakti, who was the
grandson of the renowned sage Vasishta, and whose teachings are compiled in the
‘Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra’ which remains a fundamental text of Vedic
Astrology.

Your align27 subscription will be renewed automatically if it is not canceled
within at least 24 hours prior to the expiration of the current subscription.
Your iTunes account will be charged for each new term within 24 hours prior to
the expiration of the current subscription. The current term of In-App
subscriptions cannot be canceled. You can disable the automatic renewal via the
iTunes account settings at any time.

Yes, you can download the desktop version of the app and login in the same way
as you would on your phone. Please note, the desktop app works better on a Mac
with the Apple operating system.

Will align27 give me correct timings based on my current location?

In the Location Settings you can choose to enable 'Use Phone Location,' so if
you are travelling the app will update your location. Alternatively you can
choose to select your location.

What notifications can I receive?

In the Settings under 'Notifications,' you can set up notifications to remind
you when you enter into your Golden, Productive and Silence Moments.
Notifications can also be set up for Hora and Panchapakshi. If you wish you can
set up an alert for when the Moon changes Nakshatra (lunar mansion). In the
rituals section you will be notified when it is Chandrashtama.

If you prefer not to be notified during a particular time, such as during the
night while you are sleeping, you can snooze the notifications for a particular
timeframe of your choice.

Can I see the profiles of my friends and family in align27?

You can add up to 9 profiles of friends and family members in your align27
account. So if your little sister is looking to choose the best time for her
first date, your dad wants to know when to launch his new product or your friend
wants to be as prepared as she can for her important job interview - you can
help! Using the app you can see, not only their Personality Profile, but also
their Moments, Panchapakshi and more.

Can I change the align27 display on my phone?

Yes, you may find that you have some favorite features that you use frequently
and others that you use only occasionally. You can use the 'Re-arrange
Dashboard' in Settings to hide the features you aren't using often, and if you
have Add-Ons, you can edit them and choose the ones you want to show on your
homepage, so you can access them easily.

Why does the calendar function not work during the trial period?

As we provide data for one year ahead the calendar feature only works for yearly
or above subscriptions.

How to remove my data completely?

If you want to delete align27 from your Iphone:

 * From your home screen, tap the align27 icon and hold till all apps start
   shaking.
 * An "X" sign will appear on the top right corner of the app.
 * Click the "X" sign on align27.
 * Tap the red delete button.

To delete align27 from your android device:

 * Go to your Android phone settings.
 * Click on 'Apps'.
 * Select the align27 app you want to delete.
 * Click "Uninstall".

For full account deletion, you can contact align27 via email:

 * In your email, state the reasons why you want your data/account deleted -
   Note that under GDPR or CCPA you don't need to provide a reason for your
   request.
 * Provide all the relevant information regarding your account with align 27.
