 4. COUNTY CENTRAL STUDENTS INVITED TO PLAY FOOTBALL FOR CLARESHOLM'S HIGH
    SCHOOL TEAM

As a result of the biggest changes to happen in Alberta high-school football
in 25 years, the Willow Creek Cobras of Claresholm are looking to expand the
reach of the team by inviting eligible high-school students from schools in
the region to play football at Willow Creek Composite High School (WCCHS) in
2024. Students from Vulcan’s County Central, Nanton’s J.T. Foster, Pincher
Creek’s Matthew Halton and Fort Macleod’s F.P. Walshe are invited to play
for the Cobras this year. The reason for this expansion is due to changes to
the categories for Alberta Schools Athletic Association (ASAA) football. The
Cobras will be playing 3A football, in a newly formed league that saw the
old southern Alberta and Rangeland leagues merge. The cap for 3A sports is
under 800 students from one or more schools, and the schools listed, along
with Claresholm’s high school, total just under 720 students this year. The
Cobras will be conducting player registration starting in May, with spring
camp in early June. Registration and player/parent information packages will
be dropped off to those schools in early May. For more information, contact
Tim Bryson in Claresholm at 1-403-682-9649 or timbryson2006@gmail.com.

 1. CHORNEY-BOOTH: DANDY BREWING COMPANY CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF BEER WITH A NEW
    TAPROOM CHEF

Craft breweries and their adjacent taprooms have become such an integral
part of Calgary’s culture, it’s hard to believe that they’ve only existed
for a decade. It’s been a little over 10 years since the ALGC began granting
licences to small production breweries and the Dandy Brewing Company
represents one of the first groups of Calgary brewers to snag one of those,
launching a revolution in our local food and drink landscape.

 1. FOOTHILLS MP JOHN BARLOW SAYS RESIDENTS ARE 'FED UP' WITH FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

As the sun sets on summer, Parliament returns to session and I am back in
