Welcome
A warm welcome to our 202D website. We have a story to tell and this is where
you find information about our district, our clubs and their activities.


Who are Lions?
Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world. The 1.4 million members
of our volunteer organization in over 200 countries and geographic areas are
different in many ways, but share a core belief – community is what we make it.


District 202D
Our district streches from Urenui in North Taranaki all the way across to
Ruapehu back to Ashhurst and down to Foxton. Spread across Taranaki Region,
Manawatu, Wanganui, Rangitikei and parts of Horowhenua area are 35 active clubs
supporting their communities. 202D is one of 7 Districts in New Zealand.


Marketing and Promotion
Being the largest service and humanitarian organisation in the world, we welcome
new members to keep us number one. We use a number of tools to promote what we

Lions serve
When caring people join together, roll up their sleeves and take action to make
their community better, it’s a beautiful thing—and an incredible feeling for
everyone involved.
That’s Lions. Being a Lion is about leading by example, building relationships
and improving the world through kindness. It’s 1.4 million caring men and women
serving together so they can make a lasting impact and change more lives.
Our Causes




Whenever Lions club members get together, problems get smaller. And communities
get better. Because we help where help is needed - in our own communities and
around the world - with unmatched integrity and energy.
