Syaoran would ignore Sakura and reject her constant attempts to befriend him,
seeing her as nothing more than a rival. During recess, he proceeded to say she
was hopeless as the cards' holder and physically attacked her in an attempt to
steal them but was thwarted by Touya and Yukito. This was the start of a rocky
relationship between the two. On his first day at Sakura's school, before he
even knows her name, he glares hatefully at her, causing her to worry. In the
beginning of the series, Syaoran is extremely antagonistic towards Sakura
spawned from his belief that they should compete for the cards to see who is
worthy of wielding them. ―Syaoran finally confessing romantic affections for
Sakura By the end of the series, he has completely mellowed in comparison to his
initial attitude, becoming a genuine caring and friendly person. It was only
after their final magical duel with Eriol did he find the courage to confess to
her how he truly felt about her. However, the naive and innocent Sakura is
completely oblivious to these feelings, and thinks of him simply as an intimate
friend. He himself would not admit these feelings until late in the series,
after the advice from Yue and Tomoyo, the latter of whom served as his
confidante about his feelings. As they spend more time together, Syaoran begins
to develop romantic feelings for Sakura and becomes annoyed when she pays more
attention to another guy. However, as the series progresses, and especially
after Sakura is officially deemed the new mistress of the Cards, Syaoran drops
his rivalistic attitude towards her, and becomes a reliable ally and a beloved
friend. He was also portrayed as somewhat of a loner, given that he had been
taught to be independent and self-reliant since childhood. His initial attitude
towards her was cold, critical, and socially awkward, to the extent of never
even addressing her by her first name until the third season, and often
criticized her bluntly for her flaws and clumsiness. He first appears as
Sakura's rival in the story, capturing a few cards for himself in the anime. As
the heir of the famous Li clan of sorcerers from Hong Kong, of which Clow Reed's
mother herself was also a member, Syaoran had firmly believed that he should be
the one to capture and inherit the Clow Cards, not Sakura Kinomoto.

Syaoran Li is initially a cold and cynical ten-year-old boy. It is also said
that he looked like his father, when he was young, but there are no pictures of
him in his house to actually compare. He appears to have grown in Cardcaptor
Sakura Movie 2: The Sealed Card and, later, the Clear Card series. He is short
in height compared to his male classmates, such as Yamazaki, but is overall
taller than Sakura and Tomoyo. Syaoran has short chestnut hair and large amber
eyes. Syaoran's name has different pronunciations and translations according to
the different countries, such as Syaoran, Xiaolang, Shaoran and
Showron.Syaoran's name (meaning "little wolf") sounds similar to Shao Long,
"little dragon", which is one of famous Bruce Lee's given names (李小龍, pinyin: Lǐ
Xiǎolóng, often romanized as Lee Shao Long).His last name is very common in
China and that means " plum".

The name Syaoran is of Chinese origin, and both in this language and in
Japanese, it means "little wolf".

was clean by the age of 25. Is it weird that I was a fan so many years ago and I
had NO idea that this was happening? I mean, a lot of people were doing coke in
the 1990s (they’re still doing a lot of coke now too).

darkness of addiction and bring them into the light.” Valletta sought help at 25
because she “didn’t want to die…I had to be willing to lift the veil off the
shame and say, ‘I’m addict, I can’t do this alone, I don’t want to do this
alone, I don’t feel comfortable, can you help me?’ ”Īfter staying sober for 15
years, the model-turned-actress – whose new show Legends premieres on TNT in
August – hopes to inspire others by sharing her story. The 45-year-old
supermodel, who soared to fame in the ‘90s alongside Kate Moss and Shalom
Harlow, has been drug- and alcohol-free for. “I don’t blame anything that
happened to me that was negative.” Amber Valletta is speaking out about her
addiction. “I didn’t care and that’s just to show you addiction takes you to the
worst places… I was in a business that drugs and alcohol were widely acceptable
and they were given to me.” But she takes full responsibility for her actions.

“I had a multimillion deal and I showed up the first day to shoot this campaign
high and drunk,” she admits. “I suffer from a disease called addiction…I’ve had

being a human being…I sniffed markers, I sniffed glue, fingernail polish,

And she’s coming clean in a public way about her struggles with addiction. Amber
still gets some work, mostly magazine editorials and the occasional ad campaign

friends since they met, and come together with such love. I adored her and
Shalom Harlow, and I loved their friendship too – they were roommates for a time
in NYC. Back in the day, Amber Valletta was one of my favorite models.

Though our test computer did not have the recommended OpenGL 2.0 card for After
Effects 7.0, we nonetheless were able to download an OpenGL 2.0 driver for our
card and the hardware-assisted previews we achieved were very impressive.

(Note: earlier versions of After Effects included graphs for some effects, but
they were very limited in comparison to the new Graph Editor.) Once you get the
hang of it (and it may take a few tries before the light bulb goes on), you'll
find yourself wondering how you ever got along with those old-fashioned,
one-dimensional timelines the Graph Editor allows users to tweak effect
parameters with a much higher degree of detail and finesse. The Graph Editor
presents effects in a two-dimensional graph, with time represented horizontally
and either effect values (such as opacity, rotation, position, etc.) or an
effect's rate of change represented vertically. One other UI-related item that's
found in After Effects 7.0 is the Graph Editor, which though not an Adobe
innovation is nonetheless a welcome addition.

interface is very easy to use and intuitive most users will find themselves
setting up and saving new workspaces within minutes of installing the product.
The new After Effects 7.0 user interface (which is shared by other members of
the Adobe Production Studio family, including Premiere Pro 2.0, Encore DVD 2.0,
and Audition 2.0) successfully bridges the gap between space conservation and
ease of use.

The third strategy is that we interviewed a couple local estate sales companies
and settled on someone with great references. So far, about 85% of what I’ve

After a second solo, a brief guitar riff is introduced, which Jonny Greenwood
says "was something I had floating around for a while and the song needed a
certain burn. The fourth and final section, which begins at 5:35, is a brief
instrumental reprise of the second movement that serves as a coda.

This section uses multi-tracked, choral vocal arrangement and according to Dai
Griffiths, a "chord sequence would sound seedy, rather like something by the
band Portishead". The harmonies form a looped chord progression resembling a
Baroque passacaglia, with the tonality split between C minor and D minor. The
third section was written by Jonny Greenwood, and reduces the tempo to 62 BPM.
Ending the second section is a distorted guitar solo by Jonny Greenwood, which
lasts from 2:43 to 3:33. Although the second section retains the tempo of the
first, it differs rhythmically. The second section is written in the key of A
minor and begins about two minutes into the song. The melody of the opening
vocal lines spans an octave and a third. The opening is played in the key of G
minor with a tempo of 82 beats per minute (BPM), and begins with a mid-tempo
acoustic guitar backed by shaken percussion before layered with electric guitar
and Yorke's vocals. It has four distinct sections, each played in standard
tuning, and a 4Ĥ time signature, although several three- bar segments in the
second section are played in 7Ĩ timing. "Paranoid Android" is described as
alternative rock, art rock, progressive rock and neo-progressive rock. Problems

Composition Yorke said the title was a joke: "It was like, 'Oh, I'm so
depressed.' And I just thought, that's great. The title is taken from Marvin the
Paranoid Android from the science fiction series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the
Galaxy. I sort of stood there and said, 'You guys have no idea what I’ve just
done.' It was pretty clever." He said: "It’s a very hard thing to explain, but
it’s all on 24-track and it runs through. It's ridiculous." Godrich edited the
parts together with tape. Nobody does a six-and-a-half-minute song with all
these changes. The bassist, Colin Greenwood, said the band "felt like
irresponsible schoolboys. Influenced by the editing of the Beatles' Magical
Mystery Tour, Radiohead shortened the song to six and a half minutes, with the
organ solo replaced with a shorter guitar outro. It just spun and spun and it
got very Deep Purple and went off." An early extended version was included on
the 2019 compilation MiniDiscs. Godrich said: "Nothing really happened with the
outro. Greenwood said later that the organ solo was "hard to listen to without
clutching the sofa for support". We'd bring out the glockenspiel and it would be
really, really funny." The ginger, Thom Yorke, sarcastically referred to this
version as "a Pink Floyd cover". The guitarist Ed O'Brien said: "We'd be pissing
ourselves while we played. The first version was over 14 minutes long and
included a long Hammond organ outro performed by Jonny Greenwood. Other
inspirations included Queen's " Bohemian Rhapsody" and the work of the Pixies.
Inspired by the through-composed structure of the Beatles' 1968 song " Happiness
Is a Warm Gun", Radiohead fused parts from three different songs. Writing and
recordingĪs with many other OK Computer tracks, "Paranoid Android" was recorded
in St Catherine's Court, a 15th-century mansion near the village of St
Catherine, near Bath, Somerset. It was included in the 2008 Radiohead: The Best
Of. The track has been covered by artists in a variety of genres. At the 1998
Brit Awards, the song was nominated for Best British Single. Its animated music
video, directed by Magnus Carlsson, was placed on heavy rotation on MTV,
although the network censored portions containing nudity in the US.

GEOMETRY DASH

Amusingly, this game actually got me into music, something that I couldn't live
without today. The creativity of some people in this game still amazes me to
this day and I have an insane amount of respect for the people that dedicate
hours upon hours working on projects. Even if you aren't great at this game like
me, there are ~8 years worth of levels at your disposal, some of which are
absolutely mind-blowing. That isn't to say the game isn't fun however. Some of
my favorite moments have occurred while playing this game, not necessarily
because of the game itself, but because of the circumstances going on while I
was playing it. Geometry Dash has been the best time-killing game I've owned,
making for a perfect background game while talking with some friends and
discussing various topics or drama going on at school. The satisfaction you get
when you finally beat a level you've been working on for a while is hard to
match, while the rage that spews out when you fail at the very end of the level
is something that simply doesn't exist in very many games.

There is something special that makes the grind fun and enjoyable in this game.

The only game that has ever been the exception to that rule is Geometry Dash.
I've never been someone who has enjoyed spending countless attempts grinding
away at a game, whether it be a boss, challenge, or level.

In 1953 there were the designs for George Bernard Shaw's The Apple Cart at the
Haymarket, London, and Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance at the Savoy. In
1952 he designed for the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre's production of Richard II
at the Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith, London, with a cast that included Paul
Scofield, Eric Porter and Herbert Lomas, directed by John Gielgud. Helpmann's
partner, the theatre director Michael Benthall, noticed his work, and
commissioned him to design The Tempest for the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre,
Stratford-upon-Avon, which opened on 26 June 1951, the cast including Richard
Burton, Alan Badel, Michael Redgrave, Hugh Griffith, Rachel Roberts, Barbara
Jefford and Ian Bannen. In 1950 he was engaged by Robert Helpmann to design the
décor for Ile des Sirènea for its forthcoming tour with Helpmann and Margot
Fonteyn. Sainthill and Miller returned to England in 1949. Laurence Olivier,
touring with Vivien Leigh for The Old Vic, was particularly impressed with
Loudon Sainthill's work, and promised to help him in London. In 1947–48 he
designed books for the antipodean tours by the Ballet Rambert and The Old Vic
Theatre Company, and held two one-man exhibitions at the Macquarie Galleries. to
1945 A.D.', a series of water colours, which were bought by public subscription
and presented to the Art Gallery of New South Wales. He created 'A History of
Costume from 4000 B.C.

They came to be known as the Merioola Group. These included Alec Murray, Jocelyn
Rickards, Justin O'Brien and Donald Friend. On discharge in 1946, they joined
some like-minded artists and bohemians at Merioola, Edgecliff, Sydney. In 1942
he and Miller joined the Australian Imperial Force and served as theatre
orderlies on the hospital ship Wanganella. In 1941 he designed the costumes for
a Melbourne production by Gregan McMahon of Jean Giraudoux's Amphitryon 38 and
the sets for some of Hélène Kirsova's ballets, A Dream – and a Fairy Tale,
Faust, Les Matelots and Vieux Paris. He also designed the costume for Nina
Verchinina's character in the farewell performance by the Ballet Russe in
Melbourne in September 1940, the ballet Dithyramb, to music by Margaret
Sutherland. The British Council then sent Sainthill and Miller back to
Australia, in charge of a major exhibition of theatre and ballet designs, which
opened in Sydney in early 1940. There, with the assistance of Rex Nan Kivell, he
mounted an exhibition of his pictures in 1939, and almost all the 52 pieces
sold. He was approached to design Serge Lifar's Icare, but although Sidney Nolan
was given the commission, Sainthill's consolation prize was being invited to
London with the company. He painted some of the dancers and designed some sets
for the ballets. He and Miller were regular patrons of Café Petrushka on Little
Collins St, where they mingled with fellow members of the artistic and bohemian
community, and they had the chance to meet some of the visiting Russian dancers.

1938–, his artistic eyes were opened by seeing Colonel W. Miller published an
art magazine called Manuscripts, and he organised Sainthill's first exhibition,
at the Hotel Australia in Collins Street. They were to become life partners, and
Miller's connections were to prove advantageous to Sainthill's career.

By 1935 he had changed the spelling of his surname to Sainthill.Īround this time
he met the journalist, book seller, art critic and leading member of the avant
garde scene Harry Tatlock Miller (1913–1989). By age 17 he had set up a studio
in the heart of Melbourne where he painted and sold murals. In 1932 he studied
design and drawing under Napier Waller at the Applied Arts School of the Working
Men's College (a precursor of RMIT University). Before the age of 14 he had seen
Anna Pavlova dance, heard Dame Nellie Melba sing, and had seen Ibsen and Chekhov
plays performed. He had a natural interest in drawing and painting, and was
attracted to quality live performance. This continued into his adulthood, but
was not apparent when talking to children. He was born Loudon St Hill, the
second of four children, in Hobart, Tasmania, but by the age of two his family
had moved to Melbourne.
