A.R.O.M



Generative music driven generative art



A.R.O.M is a project developed by audiovisual artist GŁOWA. Each A.R.O.M is
created by using generative music to drive generative visuals. The outcome is
unexpected and unique pieces that are only created and recorded once.

A.R.O.M is about the emotional connection between audio and visual. The magic
that happens when they work together to create moments of transcendence, giving
us room to explore thoughts and emotions we wouldn’t usually give time to feel.



Using Ableton Live’s probability pack, GŁOWA created synths that would work
together to create countless iterations and sound cohesive. The data, in the
form of MIDI, was then sent to TouchDesigner. In TouchDesigner note, velocity
and ADSR information was used to drive visuals that also had their own elements
of randomisation to make each piece unique and special. Every time the process
runs an A.R.O.M was created in real time. 64 were recorded with 16 being rare
colour variants.
