Dr. Torres Pagan worked as a staff psychologist at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and currently holds a position as a staff psychologist at the New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center. He has published peer review articles and book chapters in areas related to health psychology, family therapy, and masculinity. Ms. Sánchez is currently working under a mental health counselor limited permit. He earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh in PA. He also completed additional postgraduate training in applied psychology from New York University. Brandon is a client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed psychotherapist who has experience providing psychotherapy in various settings including outpatient mental health clinics, schools, non-profit organizations, courts, correctional facilities, domestic violence shelters and religious institutions. Brandon uses an integrative approach when working with clients which might include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Processing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Feminist Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, as well as a Harm Reduction. Brandon has been trained to provide evidence-based treatment to youth and adults who present with trauma, mood instability, anxiety, neurological difficulties, psychoses, substance use, conduct disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders. Brandon has successfully helped patients and their families navigate the mental health, social service, and child welfare systems. He understands very well the importance of consultation and collaboration with various treatment providers when working with patients. She earned her undergraduate degree from Penn State University and her Master’s in Social Work degree from Yeshiva University. Tara completed her clinical internship at RobinsPsych Psychotherapy Practice. Tara has worked with individuals including adolescents and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has experience working with clients coping with issues such as anxiety, relationship challenges, career transitions, acculturation difficulty, and conflicting generational values and beliefs. She ensures that her clients feel supported, validated, and at ease. Tara focuses on enhancing self-esteem by helping clients identify their unique strengths. She has a warm, empathetic, and encouraging demeanor. Tara’s treatment approach is eclectic and is catered to her client’s unique needs and preferences. Her work utilizes psychodynamic therapy to help her clients draw connections between past and present experiences, behaviors, and relationships. Tara also utilizes solution-oriented therapy to help her clients create goal-setting strategies. She specializes in helping clients who fear confrontation and help them develop assertiveness skills. × Isabel McLaughlin, LMHC Licensed Mental Health Counselor Isabel McLaughlin is a licensed mental health counselor in New York State. She earned her Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from the State University of New York at Albany. She completed her clinical internship at Collaborative Therapy of Long Island. Ms. McLaughlin understands that therapy can be a daunting undertaking when one is unsure what you are signing up for. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and determined by the goals of the client. She believes therapy is a collaborative process where the client exercises some control over the course of treatment and the desired outcome. She has worked with patients struggling with various psychological problems including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and career changes. Ms. McLaughlin believes increased stress of marginalization of persons whether differences are based on of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexualiity impact’s patient’s lives. Your psychological wellness and optimal functioning is her priority. × Kathleen Kelly, LMHC-LP Mental Health Counselor Ms. Kathleen Kelly is a Mental Health Counselor. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from The State University of New York at Plattsburgh. She completed her clinical internship at Behavioral Health Services North, a large Community Mental Health Center in New York State. During her tenure working as a therapist in a community mental health center, Ms. Kelly worked with a diverse group of patients including patients identifying as LGBTQ+. Her work with patients involved crisis intervention and individual psychotherapy treatment. She treated patients with a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship problems, and career challenges. Ms. Kelly utilizes an integrative approach to treatment which might include cognitive behavioral, person centered, existential, feminist, trauma-informed and action and commitment therapy. Ms. Kelly will provide a safe and non-judgemental space with empathy, compassion and understanding as you begin your journey of healing, self improvement and achievement of your therapy and other life goals. × Belinda Barreiro Administrative Manager Ms. Barreiro began her employment with SR Psych Services in 2018. She studied accounting at Monroe College in New York City. She has experience working in various professional environments including colleges and non-profit organizations. She has experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant, Carpenter’s Apprentice and Supervisor. She has supervised staff and managed business operations. Ms. Barreiro oversees all of the billing and administrative operations for the practice. × Vesha Wright Administrative Staff Member Ms. Wright began her employment with SR Psychological Services in 2020. She works as one of our Administrative Coordinators. Her prior employment experience includes working as a sales manager, executive assistant, account executive and administrative assistant. She has worked in the hospitality industry and for a marketing firm. Ms. Wright has various certifications including Mental Health First Aid USA Responder.
