Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that
implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed
specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.   

The opportunity  

As the Cyber Defense Manager, GPS, you’ll primarily be responsible for leading a
team of cyber defense analysts focused on the cyber defense of the information
systems supporting the business line. You’ll have the chance to make an impact
on careers by providing training, development and performance related feedback.
You’ll also be responsible for the development of standard operating
procedures and performance metrics, process maturity improvements and the cyber
defense strategy. You’ll contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of
the security organzation and GPS business unit. You’ll act as the liasion with
the Corporate Cyber Defense and Threat Intelligence functions.The primary goal
for this role is to prevent security incidents, minimize their impacts and to
restore normal operations post incident.   


RESPONSIBILITIES

Your key responsibilities  

 * Lead a 7 by 24 security operations center team, ensuring appropriate
   monitoring for and escalation of security incidents as appropriate 
 * Lead a virtual team 
 * Building an inclusive team through a sense of belonging that inspires
   innovation and collaboration 
 * Overseeing and managing a team of junior and mid-level cyber
   defense analysts with their training and performance management, as well as
   ensuring they have the knowledge and opportunities to grow their careers 
 * Locating and assimilating new information to provide context for security
   events 
 * Prioritizing team efforts so that the most impactful are addressed first 
 * Developing and maintaining SOC runbooks and SOPs 
 * Managing and improving information security documentation as required 
 * Serving as an escalation point for team members and providing support and
   lead investigations when required 
 * Working with Information Security project teams to manage and maintain
   security posture 
 * Working with project teams to design, implement, security controls  
 * Providing mentoring and guidance to a team of junior and mid-level security
   analysts 
 * Managing, generating and improving of key Cyber security metrics 
 * Providing strategic level guidance to technical and business leadership  

Skills and attributes for success 

 * High degree of cultural and emotional intelligence, and demonstrated aptitude
   for resilience, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
   and dynamics 
 * Demonstrated integrity in a professional environment  
 * Good teaming skills including the ability to create and foster a diverse
   and inclusive environment 
 * Excellent knowledge of global and US Government cyber security issues 
 * Excellent social, communication, technical, and general writing skills  
 * Excellent ability at building relationships with other organizational groups 
 * Experience with development of SEIM rules 
 * Knoweldge of forensic and malware analysis tools and techniques 
 * Experience managing a threat analysis team within a SOC environment 
 * Experience generating metrics and reporting 
 * Deep understanding of IDS, Firewalls, network monitoring sensors 
 * Understanding of endpoint controls and monitoring 
 * Deep understanding of security threats and vulnerabilities  
 * General networking knowledge  
 * General knowledge of Windows Server networking and infrastructure  
 * Experience with Microsoft Azure environment, especially Azure Government  


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 * Undergraduate/Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering or
   related domain (MCA/MTech/BTech/BCA /BSc CS or BSc IT).  
 * A CISSP, CISM, GCED, GCIH or similar certification 
 * Experience managing a team 
 * Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security clearance leve 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 * Past experience working within professional services or large matrix
   organizations
