A vehicle recall is issued when a manufacturer or the department of National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines a vehicle (or a piece
of equipment inside) creates a safety risk, or fails to meet minimum safety
standards. Manufacturers are required to fix the problem by offering repairs,
replacement or a refund to owners of the problem vehicle.

TAKATA DO NOT DRIVE ADVISORY INFORMATION

Nissan is issuing an immediate DO NOT DRIVE warning for certain model year
2002-2006 Nissan Sentra and 2002-2004 Nissan Pathfinder vehicles in the United
States and Canada affected by open Takata airbag recalls. This warning applies
to approximately 84,000 Nissan and INFINITI vehicles. Nissan strongly advises
drivers not to drive affected vehicles until the FREE repair has been completed.

REAR VISIBILITY SYSTEM RECALL INFORMATION

On affected vehicles, the driver may potentially adjust the rear view camera and
display settings to the degree that the image is no longer visible, and the
system will retain those settings when the vehicle is next shifted to reverse. A
temporarily reduced rear visibility when the driver has adjusted the display to
this extent could lead to an increased risk of an accident in the event the
driver does not re-adjust the display before reversing.

TAKATA AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL INFORMATION

Certain Nissan vehicles may have a defective airbag which needs to be repaired
immediately. In the event of a crash, the airbag could explode shooting metal
pieces at the driver and passengers, causing serious injury or death. If your
vehicle is affected by this recall, we encourage you to take immediate action to
have your vehicles repaired for free at an authorized Nissan dealership.

ANTI-LOCK BRAKE (ABS) ACTUATOR SAFETY RECALL INFORMATION

In some vehicles affected by this recall, the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
actuator may leak brake fluid. If this occurs, the ABS warning lamp will

WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

If the ABS warning lamp in your vehicle (shown below) illuminates continually
for more than ten (10) seconds after engine start:

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) warning light

Please stop driving your vehicle immediately and call Nissan Roadside Assistance
at 1-800-225-2476 to arrange towing your vehicle to a Nissan dealer at no cost
to you.

Park your vehicle outdoors, away from other vehicles or structures, until your
vehicle has been inspected and repaired by a Nissan Dealership.

IS THIS A SAFETY RECALL?

Yes.

WHAT IS THE REASON FOR SAFETY RECALL?

Due to a supplier issue that has since been corrected, the ABS actuator pump
seal in some vehicles may leak brake fluid, causing the electric circuit board
to malfunction. If this occurs, the ABS warning lamp will illuminate and remain
continually illuminated on the instrument panel. However, if the vehicle
continues to be operated with this condition, the leak could potentially create
an electric short, which in rare instances, could result in a fire.

WHAT WILL BE THE CORRECTIVE ACTION FOR THIS VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN?

The dealer will inspect the serial number of the ABS actuator and, if affected,
replace the actuator with a new one free of charge. If your vehicle was
inspected as part of a previous recall (16V-636), your ABS actuator will be
replaced with a new one, at no cost you.

WHAT MODEL YEAR VEHICLES ARE INVOLVED?

Certain MY2016-2017 Nissan Maxima, MY2015-2017 Nissan Murano and MY2017-2018
Nissan Pathfinder vehicles.

ARE YOU EXPERIENCING THIS CONDITION ON ANY OTHER NISSAN (OR INFINITI) MODELS?

Parts are available. Contact your Nissan Dealership for the inspection and
repair.

I PREVIOUSLY PAID TO HAVE MY ABS ACTUATOR REPLACED, CAN I BE REIMBURSED FOR THE
REPAIR?

If you have paid to have your ABS actuator replaced due to the warning lamp
being ON, you may be eligible for reimbursement of the related expense. Please
contact Nissan Consumer Affairs at (800) 867-7669 with any questions concerning
eligibility for reimbursement.

WILL A RENTAL VEHICLE BE PROVIDED WHILE THE DEALER IS SERVICING THE VEHICLE?

If after inspection your vehicle requires the ABS Actuator to be replaced, a
rental will be provided while parts are on order.

IS MY VEHICLE SAFE TO DRIVE UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED?

If the ABS Warning Light is ON, do not drive your vehicle; park it outside away
from structures and other vehicles. Have your vehicle towed to a Nissan dealer
by calling Nissan Roadside Assistance at 1-800-225-2476.

If the ABS Warning Light is Not ON, Owners may drive their vehicle at their own
discretion, but Nissan urges owners to bring their vehicle to a Nissan dealer as
soon as possible to have their ABS actuator inspected.

IS THERE ANYTHING OWNERS CAN DO TO LESSEN THIS CONDITION?

Bring the vehicle to the dealer for inspection as soon as possible if the
vehicle is subject to this recall. If the ABS warning lamp continuously
illuminates after starting the vehicle, stop driving the vehicle immediately;
park it outside away from structures and other vehicles; and have your vehicle
towed to the dealership by calling Nissan Roadside Assistance at 1-800-225-2476.

IS THERE ANY CHARGE FOR THE REPAIR?

No, the repair will be performed for the customer free of charge for parts and
labor.
