"ENABLING PEOPLE TO THRIVE"

> Restore Collective creates family friendly communities and opportunities for

Supporting
Families

WE ARE ACTIVE ADVOCATES FOR THE PEOPLE ON THE MARGINS AND WITHOUT RESOURCE

> creating forums for people to serve their community

We do this predominantly through Steering Groups. They are made up of
individuals from a diverse backgrounds. Many of our ideas and programmes are
birthed in Steering Groups. People are included in the decision making process
and then entrusted with responsibilities relating to our activities and events.
We find this forum creates real ownership, adds value and worth to individuals
who wouldn't normally be given such opportunities.

GIVING BACK

“Since becoming a part of Restore it has given me a sense of giving back and
helping others. I am grateful for the opportunities. Also my children have got
to know other children and everyone is always welcoming.”

Thank you Restore

"We, as a family were lucky enough to join Restore from the beginning. This has
been our safe place, a place where we can make friends and feel part of a
community that accepts us as we are. A place where we have been encouraged to
learn new skills and grow alongside and with others. We have felt part of a
team, no longer isolated from mainstream society. Life long friendships have
been made, new family traditions created. Thank you Restore."

I felt so Welcomed

"Me and my son joined Restore through my son’s school friend. At first I felt a
little anxious walking in, but once I was there I felt so welcomed. My son has
autism and struggles day to day, but Restore accepted him and included him in
all activities and games. They are amazing and I'm so glad I found them. They
have helped so much through such much hard times. Thank you."

MASSIVE INFLUENCE

"Restore has been a massive influence on our whole families way of being part of
the local community. With friendly support and new people to meet on fun family
days. Thank you so much for all you do and we look forward to future
opportunities to come together."

Like Extended Family

“Restore is much more than a charity or organisation, they have been like
extended family. They put on events aimed at bringing different families and
individuals together in a way that doesn’t put you in a particular category. Our
children love being a part of Restore and are always made to feel welcome. They
always go out of their way to make time for us, they are a credit to our
community.”

Years of Love

“We got invited to our first group meeting by a friend. Since our very first one
we have spent months with our Restore family. Everyone that attends has a
different strength and we all support each other. Years of support, love and
making new friends. Restore is the most amazing group I have ever been a part of
and we do some amazing things together.”

We are an official partner of Kids Matter, who’s vision is to see every child in
need raised in a strong family. Kids Matter engages local churches and charities
to equip parents and carers facing disadvantages with confidence, competence and
community, enabling their children to thrive. We are trained as facilitators and
approved to deliver parenting courses and plan to do this on a regular basis
across the communities we work in. For more information on this,
visit www.kidsmatter.org.uk

Our work in Atherstone and Mancetter was launched in 2015 with a Christmas
banquet. Since then we have launched a community Steering Group, arranged many
events and trips together. We worked in partnership to see mentoring courses
delivered in schools, taken children and young people to activities and provided
many food hampers during COVID. We have strong partnerships with St Peter’s
Church Mancetter and Outwoods Primary School. We offer 1-1 family support to the
families we connect with and signpost them to other services when needed.

Our work in Bedworth started late in 2020 with a small Government COVID grant.
This project is holistically supporting families on a 1-1 basis through
referrals from Bedworth Foodbank. We are also helping develop family outreach
and community initiatives in partnership with Life Church Bedworth. We are
looking to offer family support opportunities with other local churches and
services to enhance their work. A working Steering Group will be created when it
is safe to do so.

Sovereign Foundations is based in Hinckley, led by Karen Way. She became an
official project of Restore Collective in 2020. Karen’s work is all about
developing people! She inspires people at conferences and leads retreats,
delivers personal development workshops and mentors individuals. There are lots
of people who have been impacted by her work. For more information visit
