OVERVIEW

Our APAC Private Equity funds primarily pursue structured growth equity
investments in control, joint control and minority ownership formats. We focus
on investing in consumer-driven companies that give us exposure to increasing
consumer spending and urbanization in our target markets. In particular, we
focus on seven key consumer categories that we believe benefit
disproportionately from higher disposable income levels.

In addition, in times of economic dislocation we seek to invest in deep value
transactions. For deep value investments, we focus on dislocations and
catalysts, often driven by macroeconomic,

sector, geography or owner-specific issues that can lead to high-quality assets
becoming available for purchase or investment at deeply-discounted prices. While
we also look for deep value opportunities in consumer-driven companies, our deep
value approach can develop into asset-oriented opportunities.

The APAC Private Equity team has professionals located in offices in Singapore,
Shanghai, and other strategic areas in the APAC region.

We actively support our portfolio company management teams to help accelerate
their growth and enhance their competitive advantage. Our team is experienced in
supporting our portfolio companies in many aspects, including improving
information technology and systems, building new sales channels, including
e-commerce, identifying new products and services, expanding into new markets,
sourcing for senior executives to complement the portfolio company management
team and assisting with acquisitions and capital market activities.

We strive to originate investment from proprietary channels, and we believe
company management teams view us as a trusted partner. Our targeted approach to
Asia and the broad resource base of Ares Management Corporation allows us to be
selective across our target markets.

We seek investments in growth-oriented middle-market companies where we can help
drive long-term growth in an effort to generate attractive risk-adjusted
returns. We seek to invest in the most attractive relative value opportunities
and build a diversified portfolio with uncorrelated risks. The table below lists
