   This October, we celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month
   (NDEAM)! NDEAM is a time to recognize the contributions that people with
   disabilities make to the American workforce, and to promote inclusive
   workplaces. People with disabilities are skilled, talented, and creative
   workers who bring valuable perspectives to any team. When employers hire
   people with disabilities, they are not only doing the right thing, they are
   also strengthening their workforce and gaining a competitive advantage. This
   year's NDEAM theme is "Advancing Access and Equity", which highlights the
   importance of creating workplaces where EVERYONE has the opportunity to
   succeed, regardless of their disability. We encourage everyone to learn more
   about NDEAM and how to support people with disabilities in the workplace.

   Last week, Mile Two was proud to host Emmie 💚 She's a local high school
   student interested in exploring a future in tech. Not only did she get a
   sense of our day-to-day, she also just happened to spend the day with Chris
   Caldwell, one of our Senior Software Engineering Managers, who is a 👏
   FANTASTIC leader. We hope Emmie remembers that a great career isn't just
   having an interesting job at a great company, but is about teamwork and

   leaders, policymakers, and academia at this event hosted by the U.S.
   Department of Homeland Security. Our own Principal Scientist Alex Morison
   helped to define the needs and requirements for Small Unmanned Aerial Systems
