Here's what's happening

Since January 2022, dozens of states have passed or debated laws restricting our
children’s freedom to learn. As a result, librarians everywhere are facing
relentless pressure to ban books.

Thousands of books reflecting the lives and realities of people of all races,
faiths, and identities have been pulled from library and classroom shelves,
depriving our children of access to stories that can inform, encourage, and
inspire them.
