RUTH CRILLY

If you’ve arrived here and you’re not a regular reader: welcome. I’m a
forty-something mum of two young children and I live in the countryside near
Bath, Somerset. Here are some other quick facts about me that will either scare
you away or convince you to stay,

I WAS A FULL TIME FASHION MODEL

Yes, many years ago (I started in 2001) I modelled for a living. This blog was
once called A Model Recommends. One day I’ll add some pictures to this website
so that you can all laugh at my hair.

I AM NOW A FULL-TIME CONTENT CREATOR

From one hugely essential job to another: yes, I now research, write and make
videos for the online world. I was blogging in 2010 – an early adopter! – and
now I work with brilliant brands all over the world.

I ALSO RENOVATE HOUSES AND RUN A HOLIDAY LET

I have no idea how I fell into house renovation but there you go. I always say
“never again” but there’s always another project to tempt me. My little seaside
cottage, The Dorset Nook, is one I’m really proud of. You can see it here.
