Since we announced AMF quite a few interesting things have happened in our market and, with that, we’ve decided to delay AMF indefinitely. There are a few reasons for this. First is that the point of AMF – to have the conversation about Pro users existing in Apple’s market – has largely been served by Apple themselves with their recent wave of announcements. The new much-more-Pro iMacs, the upcoming iMac Pro, official support for Thunderbolt 3 GPUs, the (likely?) upcoming Mac Pro; all of those serve to address this conversation that we were planning to have. Additionally, WWDC itself has become a different animal now, showing Apple being quite supportive of non-WWDC events like AltConf and John Gruber’s Talk Show, providing reasons for people in the ecosystem to attend even if they aren’t interested in WWDC-proper. It’s become quite obvious to us that the WWDC-environment is most certainly the right place to have this particular conversation. We had put together a stellar lineup of speakers that we were ready to announce – thank you to all of you who agreed! – but given the redefinition of Apple’s stance towards Pro users, a good chunk of those sessions simply would no longer fit with the conversation we now want to have. There’s not enough time between now and September for us to retool that and provide you appropriate value for the money you would spend on a ticket, so we’re pulling the plug. Please do feel free to stay on our mailing list here. We’ve got some ideas and, when the time comes to share them, we’d like you to be the first to know. Thanks so much for your interest and support. It means the world to us. Best, Paul & Dave ABOUT YOUR HOSTS PAUL KENT Paul Kent, is a 30 year veteran of the Apple market.
