My only negative criticism about Birdie is purely from a visual standpoint. He
also gained a variable two hit mini-rush normal, by pressing forward and Hard
Punch (Fierce). His variable kick overhead is still there, as forward Hard Kick
(Roundhouse). His crouching and jumping Middle Kick (Forward), which were really
good in the Alpha series, have different animations and hitboxes. Standing Hard
Punch (Fierce) is still nice for terrorizing sloppy mind games. He still has the
rush specials and one command grab (the other command grab has been replaced
with a Mortal Kombat Scorpion style projectile), but his Critical Art is no
longer a hop super. These moves, coupled with a very fast hop n’ grab Super that
could land from anywhere on the screen, made him incredibly mobile for a
grappler designed character.Īlthough the Street Fighter V version of Birdie has
had a visual alteration, with some of his original moves missing, he has
retained most of his Alpha series play characteristics. He also adopted some of
Balrog/Boxer’s specials, such as a rushing attack and a punch button charge move
similar to the turn around punch. Like the big Russian, Birdie was a lumbering
menace with great midrange normal strikes and a set of devastating close command
grabs. His play design during that time was like a cross between Balrog/Boxer
and Zangief. Birdie was my main character in the Street Fighter Alpha series, so
I am definitely happy to see his return.

they dove and splashed around, they ended up facing upward, safe and sound. But
it kept them floating on their backs. The bulk of this product was uncomfortable
to the kids. The Airhead life vest topped that category too. Moreover, even if
your excited kid moves around in the water, the straps will remain
fastened.ĭurability is the criterion that’s most directly connected to safety.
The Airhead life jacket is a closed sided vest and that helps with keeping it
wrapped around your child. Children, most especially, because their size poses
the danger of slipping out of their vests. There’s no doubt whether it floats
because it does.Ĭrotch straps are very much helpful to keep the life jackets on
the wearers. The Airhead vest got the highest score in terms of safety.įirst of
all, it is USCG approved. This is a non-negotiable category, the one thing that
you cannot compromise. You want assurance that your life jacket can actually
save lives. You’re probably thinking of taking your little boy or girl for a
swim, or boating, or simply just relaxing in a body of water. Overall, the
Airhead Treasure Life Vest is comfortable, if a little too bulky for smaller
kids. Given, of course, that the size is right. Unlike the other cheaper brands
on the market, there’s no need to re-adjust the Airhead vest every now and then.
They don’t move around and the zipper keeps the vest in place. It’s a good
choice for life jackets because polyester is water-resistant, unlike fabric made
from a nylon shell. The polyester isn’t irritating to the skin. Yes, it’s
adjustable, but the extra length of the strap will dangle around your kid’s legs
– annoyingly. There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to crotch straps but
this one’s a little too long. So you check it out, only to find that it was the
crotch strap wrapping around you. Imagine being in the water and then suddenly
feeling like creatures are creeping up your legs. Some of the kids complained
about how their movements were restrained and we realized it was because of the
bulk of the foam.īut this is a safety advantage for the children, which is our
priority as parents. Now, about the headrest and the lengthy crotch straps…įor
sure children would mind that the head support is a bit heavy when not in the
water… especially if they like running around by the banks.
