Congratulations to our team! Our students played in front of a crowded gymnasium
full of cheering fans from multiple districts across the region and did
fantastically. Out of our team of students, 8 students moved onto the semifinal
rounds! A special congratulations to Fluco 7th grader, Emmy Watkins, placing 3rd
in her grade level division. Special thanks to our awesome Math 24 coaches,
Katie Settle, Stephanie Jamison, and William Reese. Their passion and commitment
to this team are exemplary.

WHAT ARE YOUR SOURCES OF STRENGTH?

Apr 25, 2024

FCPS partners with the Connor Strong Foundation to implement the Sources of
Strength curriculum and raise awareness of mental health problems among
teenagers. These programs and the kids who are involved in them promote health
avenues for dealing with mental health struggles and seeking help and attention
for suicidal thoughts with the hopes of preventing suicide.

I’m inspired by our FLUCOS and the work they do to support each other.
