price with no upsell and no BS. They're all about fixing what's wrong. You
may need to wait for an appointment b/c they are a small company, but you'll
be glad you did.In contrast, a large HVAC contractor whose name begins with a
"B" was immediately available when my unit failed during a 93 degree day.
According to it, I needed a capacitor and a hard start kit ($780) as a stop
gap measure (no warranty it would work even for one hour) AND I'd need a new
compressor b/c mine is failing, so I would be well-advised to replace it
($9175 covid pricing +rental of a crane at $1500).I decided to wait to see
what IG HVAC said 4 days later. After examining everything thoroughly, the
technician determined that it was a loose wire that was causing all the
problems. He tightened it, reset the breakers, and it roared back to life.
The bill for IG HVAC's visit? $200, and that included checking my second
unit.Moral of Story: Go with an honest and skilled tradesman with integrity.
This group is honest and has old-school values and wants to do right by all
concerned. They get the job done without trying to bilk you for things you
don't need. read less

Monday afternoon and got an appointment for Wednesday morning, which isn't
bad given the amount of service calls following the first hot, humid days.I
really liked that the owner talked though some issues on the phone, and we
narrowed down the problem ahead of time. When the tech showed up at 0745
Wednesday morning he knew exactly where to look, ran some tests, and
discovered a blown capacitor. He replaced, also put in a start-assist, and
was done within 30 minutes.Happy with the service and the cost. Will call

service calls from another firm, which sent technicians who changed the
filter and left, Ian Goldman methodically isolated the problem and solved it.
An apartment that was boiling at over 80 degrees was soon cool and livable
and 70 degrees. Ian Goldman is also polite, knowledgeable, and reasonably
priced. He even called back to double check that everything was ok. I would
not use anybody else from now on for HVAC systems. read less
