Conditions for mileage accrual
What you should know
Miles from flying with Korean Air or partner airlines is valid for 10 years from
the date of boarding. (Effective July 1, 2008)  Miles accrued can be used until
December 31 (KST) of the 10th year following the date of boarding. 
How to earn mileage
When you fly with a partner airline, you'll automatically earn miles when you
enter your SKYPASS number during booking, ticketing, and check-in. (Mileage
accrual reflected within 1-14 days from the date of boarding) Please keep your
e-ticket itinerary and boarding pass until mileage accrual is confirmed. If you
are unable to present your SKYPASS number at booking, ticketing, or check-in, or
if mileage did not accumulate automatically, it can be claimed within 1 year
from the boarding date.
Conditions for mileage accrual
You can earn mileage based on the flight segment, seat, and booking class.You
can start earning mileage from the date that we partner with our partner
airlines.If you are a member of both Korean Air and partner airlines, mileage
can only accrue with one airline of your choice and cannot be transferred
between airlines once accrued.When a frequent flyer of a certain SkyTeam airline
uses SKYPASS, mileage will not be accrued to other program accounts.Mileage will
not be accrued for partner airline chartered flights. Partner airline codeshare
flights may not be eligible for mileage accrual depending on the actual
operating airline.

If both the selling carrier and the operating carrier are ITA Airlines, you will
be eligible to earn miles.  Miles are only earned on Delta Air Lines, Air
France/KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Aerolineas Argentinas, Air Europa, MEA, Virgin
Atlantic and ITA Airways codeshare flights flown on or after November 1, 2023. 
As of June 12, 2023 (based on the date of boarding), SKYPASS members cannot earn
mileage from flying with Aeroflot until further notice.
