CARLA ADAMS M’16, CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING Each and every course within the Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program has been beneficial to my career, particularly my field experiences working with diverse and marginalized populations. VINCENT HANIG ’16, ECONOMICS IUP gave me the opportunity to be involved in many different clubs and organizations, taking on leadership positions and learning skills that translated to the workforce. ALEX BROWN ’10, CULINARY ARTS IUP not only pointed me in the right direction and gave me an immediate start via externship, but built lifelong networking opportunities to reinforce what I was taught and how to apply those skills in future situations. JESSICA EVANS ’08, ART I transferred to IUP after attending a much bigger school. I did much better at IUP because I received so much one-on-one time with professors and mentors. LENORD LAWSON D’17, ENGLISH LITERATURE AND CRITICISM I have had a lifelong passion for literature, and my study of comprehensive literary works prepared me to teach American literature in my current position. SIERRA SHOENER ’21, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND FAMILY SCIENCE IUP prepared me to work with children and families post-graduation by giving me the opportunity to work directly with them while working on my degree. RYAN CLARK M’13, APPLIED ARCHAEOLOGY IUP’s graduate program integrates a diverse pool of anthropological faculty of archaeologists, curators, historians, and geospatial researchers to train students in a truly interdisciplinary way.
