📣 Exciting CHIPS Announcement! 📣
The Biden-Harris Administration is making a major move to strengthen U.S.
competitiveness and supply chain resilience in semiconductor production. The
U.S. Department of Commerce and Texas Instruments (TI) have signed a non-binding
Preliminary Memorandum of Terms to provide up to $1.6 billion in proposed direct
funding under the CHIPS and Science Act.
This funding will support the construction of three cutting-edge wafer fabs—SM1
and SM2 in #ShermanTexas, and LFAB2 in Lehi, Utah. These facilities will play a
crucial role in enhancing domestic supply chain resilience, advancing national
security, and bolstering U.S. technological leadership.
We’re already seeing the positive impact of this incredible project in Sherman,
Texas - Classic Town. Broad Horizon.!
