WEB TICKET ENTRY TRAINING

The Virginia 811 Academy is where you will find the training you need to fill
out a notice of excavation. This training is referred to as Web Ticket Entry
(WTE) training. The WTE application is intended for professional excavators. By
using the system at this level, users become very familiar with the notification
requirements. It is designed for those users with large ticket volumes.

Commonwealth, there may be exigent circumstances and an increase in emergency
tickets associated with the storm’s recovery. You can view the Code of Virginia
§56-265.15. definitions  HERE.

You may wish to consider to plan regular, non-storm recovery excavations a
number of days after Hurricane Helene passes using the scheduled ticket process
found HERE .

Remember during this weather emergency to not create another emergency. Whenever
you excavate or demolish in Virginia you are reminded to always dig with
C.A.R.E!

 * Contact Virginia 811
 * Allow time for utility operators to mark the location of underground
   facilities
 * Respect the marks
 * Excavate carefully
