G’day and welcome to Melbourne! The capital of Victoria is a treat for the
senses, with plenty to see and do even for the seasoned traveller. If you arrive
early, be sure to hop aboard one of the historic trams that crisscross the city
and spend a full day exploring Melbourne's cultural institutions as well as
cafes, bars and restaurants serving a spectrum of international cuisine.

Check in to your accommodation at the Quincy Hotel Melbourne (or similar) and
savour the rest of the evening by the hotel’s shimmering pool or head out to
explore the city’s vibrant nightlife.

Arriving at 8am, enjoy a full day to explore historic Hobart and its
surroundings today before the Resilient Lady departs in the early evening.

Despite being Australia’s smallest capital city, Hobart punches well above its
weight. For nature lovers, there’s the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and the
18,000-hectare Wellington Park, just a 20-minute drive away, or step back in
time at the Maritime Museum of Tasmania, Hobart Convict Penitentiary (with its
execution yard and gallows, eek!), Narryna merchant’s house and Cascades Female
Factory.

This is the perfect chance to sample the island’s legendary produce – Tasmania’s
wonderful Pacific oysters, first introduced in the 1940s and now beloved, are a
must-try. Alternatively, seek out Australia’s oldest operating beer maker,
Cascade Brewery, for a taste of the island’s very own brew. Depart Tasmania at
6pm.

   difficulties, or for any other reason, any scheduled sailing or port of call
   may be subject to change.

Age Restrictions

 * Children are not permitted. Guests under the age of 18 cannot be accommodated
   on this cruise.

Travel Insurance

 * Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Luxury Escapes recommends
   purchasing travel insurance as soon as possible after purchasing this
   package.

Passports & Visas

 * A valid passport or government-issued photo identification is required for
   all passengers.
 * When travelling within Australia, please check current state/territory border
   entry requirements to ensure you're eligible to travel and have completed any
   required permits or passes.

Health & Vaccinations

 * Travellers are advised to check recommended vaccinations with their local
   health professional at least 45 days prior to departure, as some vaccinations
   require 30 days or more to be effective.
 * Proof of vaccination is not usually required unless you are coming from an
   infected area.
 * Proof of Yellow Fever vaccinations is required for entry into some countries,
   in particular in Africa. Please check with your health professional that you
   hold the appropriate vaccination entry requirements for your destination.
 * Guests may be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 from
   our ground operator prior to embarkation. Please contact the Luxury Escapes
   Cruises Concierge team on cruises@luxuryescapes.com for further information.
 * Important: The hotel, transportation and/or destination you are travelling to
   may have health, insurance and vaccination requirements in place. Please
   ensure you stay up to date with any requirements prior to your departure.

Flights:

Domestic economy class airfares from Sydney or Brisbane to Melbourne are
included in the package with Virgin Australia. Surcharges apply for departures
from Adelaide or Perth.

Preferred airline seating is the responsibility of the passenger. For any
specific airline seat reservations, contact the airline with the booking number
included in your cruise summary email.

Surcharges: Surcharges apply from the following cities:

 * ADL: from A$50 per person
 * PER: from A$500 per person

Baggage Allowance: A checked baggage allowance of one 23kg piece of luggage and
one 7kg carry-on luggage of 7kg applies. Any additional baggage must be
purchased at the airport by the customer.

Upgrades: Cabin upgrades are available and start from the below costs:

 * Business Class (departing MEL, BNE or ADL): from A$650 per person
 * Business Class (departing PER): from A$2,600 per person

Please note that cabin upgrades are subject to availability and may not be
available on all flights.

Guests who already have flights or are in Sydney are advised to book our Virgin
Voyages' Resilient Lady Melbourne to Hobart package, without flights included.

Timings

 * Timing provided on the itinerary is based on current schedules provided by
   the applicable airlines and can change at any time without notice.

Currency Onboard and Tipping

 * The currency onboard is US$.
 * Service charges (gratuities) for onboard personnel are included in your
   package.

Fitness Requirements

 * Travellers should have a good level of physical fitness and mobility and must
   be able to negotiate uneven surfaces and climb stairs.
 * Disability access is limited during the cruise, please consider this when
   making your booking.
 * Travellers acknowledge that they are required to have a good level of health
   and fitness to undertake any activities in this package. Further, travellers
   acknowledge and agree that neither Luxury Escapes nor the third-party
   provider will be able to provide medical or other assistance in the event
   that they are unable to complete any aspect of the tour as a result of their
   health or physical condition (nor is Luxury Escapes liable for any loss,
   damage, expense, injury or death arising from such).

Surcharges

Any prices quoted exclude specific costs/measures which may be introduced at a
later stage as a result of Government changes due to COVID-19 health and safety
restrictions. Our trusted third-party suppliers will inform guests of these
changes as soon as possible.
