MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to all nationalities. Our members are mainly Canadian women,
although everyone - male or female - who has an interest in Canada and/or
Canadian affairs is welcome to join. Membership entitles a person to receive a
newsletter, the membership directory and exclusive attendance or a discount at
some activities. Most activities are conducted in English. At present,
membership fees are 350,000 rupiah per year and the year ;runs from September 1
to August 31, and you can register at any of our events.


ABOUT CWA

Our purpose is to encourage a sense of community as Canadian citizens in
Jakarta, to offer social activities for the Canadian community, to provide
support for newcomers and to contribute to social development needs in
Indonesia.



MONTHLY COFFEE MORNINGS

These meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, from 9:30 - 11:30
a.m. Both members and non-members are welcome, with a small fee charged to
non-members. Coffee mornings are a great place to meet people, discuss upcoming
events and a perfect place to ask questions about expatriate life in Jakarta.


MONTHLY PUB NIGHTS

This new event gives an opportunity for working Canadians to gather once a month
in the evening.


'CANADIANS GIVING THANKS' THANKSGIVING DINNER

Enjoy a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Charity Thanksgiving

MAPLE LEAF BALL

Held in February or March, this black tie event brings Canadians together for a
swanky evening out, with dinner, music, entertainment, and all-Canadian fun.
