HOW IT ALL BEGAN

THE VISION

In 2011, Pastor Nina Tidwell heard the call to open a home for girls aging out
of the foster care system. In 2015 they opened their first home for girls, and a
boys home in 2023. To date, they have Rescued many girls and their children
through the Legacy Housing Project in Florida. Recently the Lord has led Pastor
Nina to Enlarge the Vision to provide Housing in Every City, Every State and All
throughout the World.
1 Chronicles 4:10, “Enlarge my borders…”

25,000 CHILDREN AGE-OUT OF FOSTER CARE IN THE UNITED STATES EVERY YEAR.

Not Everyone Can Adopt, But Everyone Can Be A Part of Adoption: By Caring for
the Orphans; those who have aged out of the foster care system

Why they need Your Help: Love. The state is Not a Family.
Many of these children Never had anyone say, “I LOVE YOU.” Many have Never had
anyone Hug them. The Reason Why they are in the system is because they Never had
a Mother or Father to Love and Care for them.

Together we can prevent homelessness, abuse and trafficking by providing free
quality housing for at-risk aged out foster girls.

A NEW FAMILY: PASTOR NINA’S STORY

Religion that God our Father accepts as Pure and Faultless is this: to look
after orphans in their distress. James 1:27

Many of the children never had anyone say, “I Love You” Many have never had
anyone to Hug them. The reason why they are in the foster care system is because
they never had a Mother or Father to Love and Care for them.

Children all over the World are in Need and we have a Responsibility as
followers of Jesus to get involved in what God has called us to do. God loved
all humanity that He sent His Son Jesus to “adopt” us back into the Family of
God. Jesus understood adoption as his earthly father Joseph, was called by God
the Father to Care for His Son; to raise him along with his wife Mary, to train
him in the ways of the Lord.
Laying down our lives for those who need the Love and Care just as Jesus laid
down His own Life for you, me and All humanity.

Pastor Nina’s Story: I remember while living in Arizona with my husband and our
two boys, that I felt impressed in my heart to adopt. But like many, I talked
myself out of it because of fear. This is quite common when people are
approached with the notion of adoption. It wasn’t until years later that my
heart began to soften, when the Lord Jesus spoke to my husband saying, “Open
your Bible to Matthew 25:31-46” and when he did, the Lord said, “This is not a
parable, this is not a story, this is going to happen one day.” Before this
happened the Lord spoke to me during my drive home after hearing of a shelter
for women and children, and their need for New clothes and toys. As I was
driving in my car, I had the thought, “What if that were me?’ as my boys were
quite young at the time, then another thought came to me, “Would I want someone
there for me?” My immediate response was Yes! That is where my journey to care
for women and children began. As we moved to Florida, the Lord led us start
Ponce Church. Years later, after learning of a ministry in Texas that had a home
for girls aging out of the foster care system, I knew then that is what I was to
do! I was able to obey the Lord and Care for Orphans. I then shared it with my
daughter-in-love, Brandi, who has had adoptions in her family, and when I did,
she said, “I Love it!” Four years later we opened our first home for girls, and
those with children through the Legacy Housing Project, and for the last 8
years, we have Rescued many girls and their children, and have recently opened
our first home for boys. Recently the Lord has led me to Enlarge His Vision and
connect with Women all over the World to help purchase Homes for girls and their
children, in every city, every state, and all throughout the World.”

TESTIMONIALS

From Real Women that have come through Legacy Housing, our non-profit affiliate
of which our son and daughter-in-love are the Directors.

“Since The Lord imparted His Vision to me to House aged-out foster girls, I have
learned so much through the Love, hard work and compassion of our children, and
the many who have opened their hearts and devoted their lives into caring for
the Legacy Family; helping Many girls and those with children. I am thankful to
God for His Call on each of us to “Care for the Orphans,” and now the
opportunity to Enlarge His Vision to house girls and their children in every
city, every state and all throughout the World.”

PASTOR NINA TIDWELL

Visionary of Legacy Housing, Founder of Women for Orphans Int’l

“Before moving into Legacy, I was alone in my life, I had no support system, I
was on drugs and on the verge of homelessness. When I moved in, they were like a
family to me. They gave me structure, and the support system I needed to get
back on my feet, get clean and stay clean, and to help provide for my babies.
Since Legacy, I have my own car, my own place, and I now have an amazing
husband. I would not have made it this far without their guidance and support,
and they helped guide me back to God, and helped me put Him at the forefront of
my life.”

ZOE

Legacy Housing Graduate

“Legacy has changed my life tremendously, it has helped me to get my High School
Diploma, that I never thought I would accomplish. Through Legacy I learned how
to forgive people that hurt me in my life. I love myself, I love other people
because of how they demonstrate the love of Jesus.

HAILEY

Legacy Graduate

“It has changed my life more than I can put into words. I finally have a chance
to be a person here at Legacy, which I don’t think I’ve every gotten, and I get
to see my daughter flourish and thrive, and she loves everyone here, she wants
to give everyone hugs, she’s just so happy.”

DAISY

Legacy Resident

“I haven’t had my own room since I was 7, so coming here and having my own
stuff, being able to go into the fridge and get food whenever I want, I know
when I first came here, I would ask Samone if I could go use the bathroom, so
doing things on your own, having your own space, feeling safe and secure not
having to watch my back 24/7, and not having to feel guarded all the time, I can
actually sit back and relax. I’ve never had a problem here, you have all been my
family, and I feel safe here.”

HANA

Legacy Graduate

“I love Legacy because we have become a family. We do Bible study that helps me
grow. I consider Legacy being my family, I have grown so much in the last year,
and they helped me apply to Daytona State and I was accepted.”
