CHARLES V. POLLACK MD - UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI MEDICAL CENTER

Charles V. Pollack, MD, has published more than 500 articles and papers during
his career as a researcher, clinician, and scientist, including many articles in
prestigious journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine. He has
particular experience with thrombosis and antithrombotic therapy. Over the last
decade, Charles V. Pollack, Jr., MD, has worked as a research and clinical trial
consultant with multiple pharmaceutical and biotech companies across North
America and Europe. In addition to providing clients with support with protocol
development, clinical trial medical monitoring, and medical authorship, he holds
an academic appointment as a cClinician-Sscientist at the University of
Mississippi Medical Center. Earlier in his career, he became the first physician
to receive the American College of Emergency Physicians' highest honors, among
other professional distinctions.

In both teaching and research, among other professional distinctionsAfter
graduating magna cum laude from Emory University with degrees in history and
chemistry, Charles V. Pollack, MD, earned his medical degree at Tulane
University. He subsequently completed a surgical internship at the United States
Naval Hospital in San Diego and a residency at the University of Mississippi,
which included time as emergency medicine chief resident. Outside of his work as
a research consultant and clinician, his interests include food, wine, and
travel.
