THIS EMAIL USES YOUR EMOTIONS OR CURIOSITY TO CATCH YOUR ATTENTION. Curiosity, fear, and desire are strong emotions. Scammers use your emotions to get a quick reaction. This email claims your mailbox is full to catch get you to react. 2. THIS EMAIL HAS AN [EXTERNAL] TAG AND ISN'T AN OFFICIAL DBS EMAIL. Pay attention to the sender of the email. Phishing tends to use realistic sender names and domains. Treat emails with [External] tags with caution. [External]-tagged emails come from outside the bank. Untagged emails originate from DBS' email systems and [DBS Services]-tagged emails come from known DBS services. 3. THIS ISN'T DBS DOMAIN. If you hover over the link, you'll see it isn't a DBS domain. It's always best to verify with a service through their website, app, or program to check instead of clicking on links in an email.
