What we do

We Are Not Equal

Finding the Fractures

HELP US BREAK THE BIAS

Inequalities in women's health have existed for generations. It’s
well-documented that across Canada and around the globe, women's health has been
underfunded and under-researched, resulting in discrepancies in care and
treatment, including barriers to access, misdiagnosis, and poor health outcomes
for women. The Alberta Women's Health Foundation launched a year ago to raise
awareness of these gaps and, through collaborations with partners, work to close
them. There’s much work that needs to be done to further reduce gender bias and
inequality – across all areas. We invite you to join us and be part of
#BreakTheBias and #RefocusTheResearch on International Women’s Day and Week.

WE ARE NOT EQUAL

To celebrate International Women's Day 2022 and the one-year anniversary of the
AWHF, we are proud and excited to unveil a brand new video, entitled "We Are Not
Equal." Watch and help us #BreakTheBias
