TAX SEASON PROTOCOL

Our process is the same for all locations. However you may drop off at the
location nearest you, your accountant will work out of a single office and we
will forward information to the appropriate office when needed.


YEAR END CONSULTATIONS AND PLANNING

Starting in November, as the year ends, we start appointments for tax planning
and year end consultations. These are if needed and can be in person or over the
phone. This is a great time to sit down and review your income and expenses and
plan how this will impact your taxes. We pause all in person appointments, at
all locations, January 15th – April 15th.



PREPARE YEAR-END DOCUMENTS

If you use QuickBooks Please Click Here to get a list of the reports we need to
prepare taxes.

Please use our Tax Organizers if you need a guide to prepare your information.
If you are self employed you should use a personal and a small business
organizer.




SEND IN OR DROP OFF YOUR DOCUMENTS

FARMINGDALE CLIENTS
All Clients of John Hallee please use: Back River Financial, 690 Maine Ave,
Farmingdale ME 04344.

We have installed a large, secure drop box outside our front door. Or you can
fax them to us at (207) 621-0872.

ROCKPORT CLIENTS
All (former) clients of Ingrid Van Steenberg please use: Back River Financial,
PO Box 845,
Rockport ME 04856.

You can drop off in person to 331 Commercial Street or you may fax them to us at
(207) 236-4749.

There is no appointment needed to drop off or send in your documents.

We will complete your taxes once you have turned in all of your documents. The
return will be based on the documents you submit. Please don’t drop your
materials off until you have all of your documents in hand.
