I tasked my son with the initial setup of the unit. It took him about 3 minutes
to do that after I created my Nintendo account using my laptop. The
grandchildren (5yo, 9yo) love it. They play it for hours when they are here
without any help from me. I like that they have their own profiles; it keeps
their game progress separate. It works seamlessly with the large screen on the
wall. The controllers hold a charge for hours while they are playing. Charging
the controllers is easy because when they put them away after playing (attaching
them to the unit) they begin charging, ready for the next time. The graphics are
great; I assume that has as much to do with the specific games they are playing
as it does with this unit. I don't personally play with it; that may change in
the future. I like the color of the case because it blends nicely with the décor
of the room.

Buy the switch but not Animal Crossing

Don't buy this game unless you have only one child and will only ever have one
child. My 14yo is the owner and the only owner. This means my 9yo can do very
little and they both complain about EVERYTHING they cannot do or the other is
doing wrong. Seriously save yor sanity!

I was planning on buying the light version BUT I don't regret my decision to get
the regular version! I love the detachable controllers! Was going to get the
standard blue and red but the Animal Crossing Limited Edition version caught my
interest because of the cute green and blue joy cons. I prefer the bigger screen
than if I would've gotten the Lite version even if I have small hands. Only
complaints I have are that I wish the buttons had a back light and wish we had
the ability to personalize our screens. Other than that I love my new Nintendo
Switch!
