Graduating at the top of his University of Florida College of Law class, Harry
Rutherford had had his pick of job opportunities to pursue, including a chance
to clerk for several judges. However, having already clerked at Aaron Delgado &
Associates for the last two summers, Harry had no plans to go elsewhere; he
knows Aaron Delgado & Associates is the place for him, and has felt a sense of
belonging ever since his first summer assignment.

earned him a place on the prestigious University of Florida Law Review—where he
served as senior editor—as well as the elite advocacy skills he honed as a

Traffic tickets are such a common part of everyday life that many people don’t
even give it a second thought. You get the ticket, pay it, get it over with, and
move on. But what many people don’t realize is that there are consequences to
simply paying off the ticket.
Collateral Consequences of Criminal Convictions [Infographics]
Most people generally think of the direct consequences of a conviction—i.e. the
sentence—and overlook the collateral consequences. Here is a brief overview of
the wide range of potential collateral consequences that can stem from a
criminal conviction.
Kodak Black: Sk[i]rting the Conviction
Since 2015, South Florida rapper Kodak Black has found himself in a never-ending
string of legal battles. Despite his status as a regular in the court house,
Kodak has mostly managed to avoid any serious consequences—that is, until his
most recent sentence.
Turning the Tables for a Third DUI Charge
With a breath test result over three times the legal limit and our client, who
had two prior DUI convictions, being the apparent driver at the scene of a
crash, the State was overconfident in their case and unwilling to budge during
plea negotiations.
Post-Conviction Relief for a 10-Year-Old Mistake
This was an unusual situation, and we were unsure if what was being explained to
us was truly the situation—a 10-year-old promise from a judge. But after looking
into it ourselves and doing some research, sure enough, our client was
absolutely right.
DUI Over 4X the Legal Limit
The evidence presented against our client was nothing short of daunting. After
he was arrested for DUI, he submitted to a breath test at the police station,
where he blew a .339—over four times the legal limit. But that was just a small
piece of the whole puzzle.
