Welcome home to Avon Christian Church, where we believe the abundant love of God
is for all of God's people. We welcome all into the full life and ministry of
our church, regardless of ability, age, ethnicity, family or marital status,
gender identity or expression, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual

Upcoming Events


 * TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE
   
   April 4 - Modern Miracles @ 6:30pm
   
   Join us for a panel discussion on science and faith. Coffee, refreshments,
   and childcare will be provided. Panelists will be our senior minister, Rev.
   Danielle Cox, theologian Rev. Dr. Marti Steussy, and astrophysicist Dr. Avery
   Archer.
   
   April 6 - Space Exploration Night @ 7:30pm
   
   Join us for a night of eclipse fun with themed crafts and snacks. After
   sunset, we will enjoy stargazing through telescopes led by Dr. Avery Archer,
   professor of physics at DePauw University.
   
   April 8 - Eclipse Viewing from 12pm to 4pm
   
   Join us for the total Solar Eclipse viewing. We will have inflatables, yard
   games, food trucks, live streaming of NASA coverage, and more! Please bring
   your own chairs for outdoor seating. $20 per car gets you a parking spot and
   access to all activities.


 * UPCOMING WORSHIP SERIES
   
   The word “Gospel” means good news, especially good news of victory. Later in
   Christian tradition, “Gospel” came to mean the good news of our salvation (or
   victory) in Jesus Christ. Still later, it came to be associated with the
   books about Jesus – the Gospels according to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and
   John. Can we share the good news of God’s victory with our life? With our
   works? With our words?
   
    Dolly Parton is beloved in American life because of how she is able to sing
   out the truth through the songs she writes and sings, the poverty she helps
   to eliminate, the books she gives to kids, and the deep joy and delight she
   has brought to many types and stripes of people. All the while, Dolly (who is
   very spiritual) speaks openly about her own spirituality and connection to
   God. She points to the good news of God in a stunning way. And if Dolly can
   do it… maybe we can do it, too.

 * SUNDAY SCHOOL - 9:30AM
   
   Faith formation classes are available for both children and adults, as well
   as a nursery for children under three.


 * WORSHIP SERVICE - 10:35AM
   
   Join us Sunday morning for worship in our Family Life Center or Online at
   10:35am.


 * CHILDREN'S WORSHIP - 10:35AM
   
   Children Worship and Wonder is an immersive worship experience for children
   ages 3 through 2nd grade. Nursery available for children under 3.
