This week, our career and volunteer members are completing "Through the Lock"
training, led by our Training Chief, DC Fitzwater. This training teaches how to
access residential or commercial structures with minimal door damage, which can
be crucial in medical emergencies when a patient needs help but can’t get to the
door. By using these techniques, we can assist without causing costly damage. We
also practiced quicker entry methods for time-sensitive situations like
structure fires or cardiac arrests.

A big thanks to DC Fitzwater, Firefighter Fitzgerald, and Firefighter Garcia for
helping with the entry training! Your expertise and dedication make a difference
in how we serve our community.

For quicker emergency access, consider the LFCAIRS Residential Key Box Program.
This secure box can be placed outside your home and accessed only by the fire
department, allowing us to quickly enter in emergencies. Store your keys in the
box to help us provide fast assistance when needed.

For more information, contact our Fire & Life Safety Division at 541-451-1901 or
email FireLifeSafety@lebanonfireoregon.gov. You can also visit

The Lebanon Fire District extends heartfelt thanks to Marva Graham for her
generous donation to Toys for Tots, made in memory of her grandson, Thomas
Radley. Thomas was a bright light in our community, known for his big heart and
love for the fire service. One of his most cherished moments was becoming an
“honorary fireman” for a day at LFD—a day filled with joy and excitement for all
who knew him. Though Thomas is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through
acts of kindness like this. Thank you, Marva, for honoring his memory in such a
meaningful way.

This year, as we prepare for our Toys for Tots drive, we encourage everyone to
join us in helping make a difference. Last year, the generosity of our community
filled nearly five containers with toys. This year, we’re raising the bar and
hoping to collect at least six full containers!

From November 20 to December 16, donation boxes will be set up at Station 31 and
Station 34. Please bring new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging to help
make a child’s holiday a little brighter.

Together, let’s celebrate the season by giving back and spreading joy to those
who need it most. Thank you, Lebanon, for always stepping up to support your
community. Happy Holidays!
