ANKIT NAMDEO

Ankit Namdeo is the Founder of the tax law firm ANK Advisors based out of Mumbai
with presence in major Indian cities. He is a qualified lawyer and a member of
the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. He graduated from Dr RML National Law
University, Lucknow (RMLNLU) and has an experience of about 8 years in advising
clients on international taxation, and tax litigation. Prior to starting his own
firm, he has worked with tax teams at Khaitan & Co and Cyril Amarchand
Mangaldas.

He has advised clients on various taxation issues in relation to various inbound
and outbound investments, group restructuring, business transfers, franchise
agreements, EPC contracts, permanent exposure to foreign companies etc. He has
seamlessly assisted corporate practices on tax issues surrounding complex M & A
transactions, undertaking a risk assessment for tax issues, drafting of
transaction documents from tax perspective and negotiating tax positions and
indemnity. Ankit has extensively assisted clients on formulation of tax
litigation strategy before tax authorities and represented them before appellate
authorities including High Courts and Income-tax Appellate Tribunal. Ankit has
been advising clients in structuring and implementation of stock options, cross
border estate planning structures and issues surrounding tax exemption status
for charitable organizations.

Ankit has been actively involved in presentations at national and international
conferences. He had co-conducted a discussion on 'Advance Pricing Agreements at
National Judicial Academy, Bhopal in January 2016 and certificate course on
Multilateral Instrument organized by the Chamber of Tax Consultants, Mumbai,
2018.

He has published various articles on international taxation published by
Taxsutra, CCH Wolters Kluwer, and Bloomberg BNA. He has co-authored, the
chapter, 'Other anti-avoidance measures' for 4th edition of Compendium on
International taxation, published in February 2021 by the Chamber of Tax
Consultants, Mumbai.

SANA JAVED

Sana Javed is a consultant at Ank Advisors. She is a qualified lawyer and
enrolled in the Delhi Bar Council.

She graduated from ILS Law College, Pune in 2015 and holds an LLM degree in
Taxation from Queen Mary, University of London.

She is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Law School, where she has been
teaching Income tax, GST and International Taxation for over a year.

Her prior experience of two years includes advising clients on international
taxation and tax litigation. She has worked in the tax teams of ALMT Legal and
D.J. Shah and Co. She has advised clients on various taxation issues in relation
to various inbound and outbound investments, group restructuring, business
transfers, etc, and issues surrounding tax exemption status for charitable
organizations.

She has devised tax strategies for companies and investors and extensively
assisted clients on formulation of tax litigation strategy before tax
authorities and represented them before appellate authorities.
