KOICHI HOSOI * Home * Research * Contact BIOGRAPHY My research focuses on establishing a comprehensive digital archive of various Japanese cultural resources, from historical heritage to recent pop culture, and promoting their social utilization. He is particularly interested in the revitalization of the content field by linking the digital archive of Japanese cultural resources with a new social business model based on regional, industry-academia-government cooperation. In particular, the Game Archive Project, which deals with the long-term preservation of digital games, has been ongoing since the late 1990s as a comprehensive social preservation activity of games through industry-academia-government collaboration.
