    Nov. 9, at The Ottawa Mission’s sold-out Blue Door Gala. This year’s gala
    joined forces with the centre’s annual ICC Cares Gala to raise $350,000 for
    The Ottawa Mission’s Food Services Training Program. The evening drew
    attention to the importance of the program and celebrated the graduates as

    The 9th annual Black Tie Bingo for Bruyère and the OutCare Foundation was
    held at the Ottawa Conference and Event Centre Saturday, Nov. 4. Since 2014
    the event has raised over $400,000 for critical end of life care while
    entertaining guests with a fun evening of bingo. This year’s event raised
    funds and awareness for the Sharon Carstairs-OutCare Foundation Fellowship
    for hospice palliative nursing at Bruyère and for the acquisition of
    equipment to enhance patient experience. 2023 was a transitional year, as
    next year this successful event will become Bruyère Foundation’s signature
