WELCOME TO ANOTHER EXCITING YEAR WITH 918 GRIFFON SQUADRON (2023/24)

Hello Cadets and Parents,

We hope you enjoyed a restful summer, and a great time with friends and
families.

We are excited to let you know that our returning cadet night is Wednesday
September 6, 2023, and information can be found on the 918 Event Calendar.  For
transferring cadets, you can arrive at 1800hr (6pm) on Wednesday September 6,
2023 at the side entrance (6311 Norfolk Drive NW, Calgary) to the Good Shepherd
Church.

Whether you are returning cadets, transferring cadets, or parents, we look
forward to seeing you, and welcome back!

The Next Enrolment Date will be in September each year. Interested in aviation?
Looking for new friends? Want to learn how to play a musical instrument?
Interested in getting physically fit? Want to be a leader? Then we might just be
the youth program you are looking for. Are you between the ages of 12 to 18 and
interested in flying or the air element of the Armed Forces? Are you looking for
a challenge to bring out the best in yourself and your abilities? Then look no
further, because Air Cadets is the program for you. You’ll make lifelong
friends, learn valuable skills and increase your …

918 Squadron normally parades from September to June each year. During these
months, the Squadron is normally open on Monday and Wednesday evenings from
1830-2130h.

The preferred entrance is the doors directly off Norfolk Drive. The doors from
the parking lot may not always be open, and there are other users of the
building who may be working in that space. During the winter months, we ask that
wet and dirty footwear be left in the foyer/cloakroom area. A second, indoor
pair of footwear is ideal.
