Solera Titling is updating the delivery method of the 6-digit authentication
code to make it faster and easier for the user. The user will receive the
6-digit code via text message or an Authenticator application like Microsoft
Authenticator. Please ensure that each Solera Titling user at the dealership is
set up with their login. Once Solera Titling has implemented the new options for
receiving the MFA code, the user will be prompted to complete a one-time setup
and choose whether to receive a text message or use an Authenticator App.
Instructions for the setup of both methods follow. If you have any questions or
concerns, call the Solera Titling Helpdesk at 1-855-336-9023. Thank you for
helping to create and maintain a secure platform for you and your customers.

Login to TitleTec by clicking the purple “Login” button. Enter your User ID and
password. After the first login, you will be prompted to set up an MFA method.

Multifactor Authentication Options:
It is recommended (but not required) to implement both options during the
initialsetup. This will allow recovery or update of MFA information later. For
example, if you change your phone # or lose your phone you will still be able to
access TitleTec by using the Authenticator App. If only one MFA method is set up
during your first log-in, you will be required to contact the Help Desk for
assistance with reconfiguration.

Multifactor Authentication Setup Process
Upon initial login, you will see this window—click “Continue” to setup an
Authenticator App or click “More Options” to setup a cell phone # for receipt of
SMS/Text message of the 6-digit code.

SMS/Text
After you set up the SMS/Text option, you will see the SMS Authentication page
with your phone # to which the code will be sent. Click “Send verification code”
and then check your text messages for the code. Enter the code and click “Verify
code.”

Authenticator App Option
If you opt to use an Authenticator app (by selecting the check box for
“Authenticator App TOTP), you will be shown a QR code (as shown below). However,
you will first need to download an Authenticator App (Microsoft Authenticator is
a popular option) to scan this QR code. Look below for guidance on Installing an
Authenticator App on your cell phone. If you prefer to download an Authenticator
App to your PC, search this through your browser as there are a variety of
options.

Installing an Authenticator App
To use the Microsoft Authenticator, download it from your phone's app store.
Once the Authenticator App has been downloaded, you will see an “Add Account”
(+Icon) option in the upper right-hand corner. Then select the appropriate
Account type and enter your Microsoft account information. After entering the
account information, the Authenticator App will request that you scan the QR
code to finish setting up your account.

After scanning the QR code and configuring your account, the 6-digit code will
appear on the home screen of the Authenticator app. You have 30 seconds to enter
the code in TitleTec; otherwise, you must request a new one. Here is an example
of the code you will see.
