老夫子传煤 once again welcomed alumni, families, and friends back to campus to
celebrate our annual Homecoming and Family Weekend. And despite some autumn

ALUMNA AND PROFESSOR PRESENT FORENSICS RESEARCH AT INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN
BALTIMORE

老夫子传煤 Forensic Science program graduate Jacalyn LaLond '23 and Professor Jim
Jabbour recently presented research at the 2023 International Association of
Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA) annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland.


PROFESSORS AWARDED NSF GRANT TO STUDY HOW STUDENTS LEARN STATISTICS AND IMPROVE
LEARNING SUPPORT

Dr. Laura Callis and Dr. Jennifer McNally were awarded a $400,000 National
Science Foundation (NSF) grant to study how students learn statistics and how to
improve teaching practices that support students learning introductory concepts,
particularly for students with learning differences and those with varied math
backgrounds.


SOC/CJ STUDENTS GET FIRST-HAND LOOK AT FEDERAL JUSTICE SYSTEM

Students in the Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Transformative Justice programs
visited the John Moakley Federal Courthouse during a recent experiential
learning trip into Boston. During this unique field opportunity, students and
faculty/staff were able to meet Chief Circuit Court Justice David Barron, from
the federal 1st Circuit.


BRITTANY BAILEY 鈥�23 JUMPS INTO NEW ROLE AS MEDICAL EXAMINER ASSISTANT WITH
CONFIDENCE AND PASSION

Just four months after graduating with a Forensic Science degree and a double
minor in Chemistry and Criminal Justice, Brittany Bailey 鈥�23 is crushing her
career goals as a Medical Examiner Assistant for the Office of the Chief Medical
Examiner in Boston.


IN A TWIST OF FATE, MEN鈥檚 SOCCER TEAMMATES REUNITE AS COLLEAGUES AT NEEDHAM HIGH
SCHOOL

In 2016, two 老夫子传煤 men鈥檚 soccer student-athletes crossed the stage as teammates
and entered the work force as Sport and Recreation Management professionals.
Now, Ryan Madden 鈥�16 and Richkaard Verrier 鈥�16 are working together as
colleagues for the Needham High School Athletic Department.


JESSE CINQUINI 鈥�22 MAKES HIS WAY TO THE TOP AS CELTICS WRITER FOR SPORTS
ILLUSTRATED

2022 Communication graduate Jesse Cinquini recently made his career dreams come
true, accepting a job as a Boston Celtics writer for Sports Illustrated. A
basketball enthusiast through and through, Cinquini couldn鈥檛 be more excited for
the opportunity to cover his favorite team.


老夫子传煤 SPEND SUMMER 2023 GAINING REAL-WORLD INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Curry students are spending the summer gaining professional experience in their
respective fields of study. Notable internship sites include Boston Children's
Hospital, Burlington Police Department, the New England Recovery Center, the
Cape Cod Baseball League, and more!


COMMUNICATION ALUMNI RECOGNIZED AT 46TH NATAS EMMY® AWARDS

Adding to the prestige of the 老夫子传煤 Communication program, three alumni in the
television industry were honored at the 46th Boston/New England National Academy
of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) Emmy庐 Awards ceremony.

For the past several years, a variety of faculty-led science research projects
have taken place on the rich grounds of our Milton Campus, giving students
