   The Young Women's Trust recently published concerning findings regarding
   workplace challenges faced by women, including a significant rise in reported
   discrimination and disparities in pay compared to their male counterparts.   
   According to the study, 50% of young women reported experiencing
   discrimination, an increase compared to 42% in the previous year, while 23%
   are earning less than men in similar roles. Worryingly, a survey among HR
   leaders revealed serious biases and reluctance to hire #women who may start a
   family.    In a recent interview with PA Life Magazine, our #CCO Yves
   Schneuwly explained why he is alarmed and disappointed by the results of this
   research:     “Not all of the blame can be placed on the shoulders of HR
   professionals – the 34% of HR leaders who said they were aware of
   discrimination do not go on to say that they didn’t take any action. A cause
   for concern are the 15% who said they would prefer to hire a man for a senior
   management position, and the 19% who said they would be reluctant to hire a
   woman who might go on to start a family. There is a difference between
   noticing a bias in your organisation and actively contributing towards it.”

   Recent data indicates an 11% increase in young people embarking on
   #apprenticeship journeys, with nearly 90% of 16-17 year olds engaged in
   #education or apprenticeships by the end of 2022.    Work #experience,
   additional income, and networking opportunities are some of the benefits of
   #temporary and #flexible work for apprentices. In an Interview with FE News
   our #CCO Yves Schneuwly, emphasizes the significance of upskilling and
   professional training, noting the diverse range of apprenticeships available
   for individuals of all ages. Temporary roles also serve as a useful bridge
   between apprenticeship completion and securing permanent employment.    From
   February 5th to 11th, the National Apprenticeship Week 2024 celebrates its
   17th year under the motto “Skills for Life”. The event highlights the
   importance of apprenticeships in providing pathways to careers and
   contributing to a high-skill economy. Since 2010, over 5.7 million
   individuals have begun apprenticeships, with the government investing £2.7
