The first mattress I ordered came from another well-known company, but after sleeping on it for a month I had enough bad nights of sleep and returned it. The mattress felt like a brick wrapped in foam, which was not what I wanted. That bad experience with another company left me reluctant to buy another mattress online so I decided to go into a few local mattress stores to try out their inventory. I must have laid on 30 different mattresses that weekend. I knew I wasn't quite ready to buy, but I wanted to get a feel for what I liked, then I would go back home, research customer reviews as well as any discounts available and make my purchase on the manufacturer website. After all of that in-store product testing, and my research later that week, I decided to try the Casper Wave Hybrid. Long story short, this has been the best mattress I've ever owned and one of the finest mattresses that I've ever used, and I travel a lot. I decided to get an adjustable base to go with mine and ever since I started sleeping with the head and foot slightly elevated, my lower back pain has completely gone away. It's quite amazing and I love it! Skip returning the mattress from another company and buy a Casper from the start, you won' regret it! Review of prior model (The Casper Mattress). I have a bad back so it made things worse. I'm a stomach sleep and had no support from it. I noticed that the original Casper was good for back sleepers and was a little worried. But, we had been on vacation and slept 2 nights on an Original Casper and I slept really well. We then stayed in 5 other hotel beds during that trip and in none of them did I sleep as well. I have discovered that I do enjoy sleeping on my back on the Casper. Something I have never like before. My personal feelings if I could imagine what it was like to sleep on a cloud this would be it.
