Just published – #AGRINFOUpdate28 covers new #EU marketing rules that will apply
from 2026, with stricter rules of origin labelling for honey, a new category of
reduced-sugar fruit juices, and a higher minimum quantity of fruit in jams. Find

There will be new restrictions on use of the food additives tartaric acid and
tartrates from December 2024. You can send feedback to World Trade Organization
and #EU consultations on maximum residue levels for isopyrazam; and proposed
analysis methods for olive oils – #AGRINFO UPDATE explains how to respond to
consultations, and gives the deadlines. #Reminder: new model certificates for
animal products exported to the EU will be compulsory from 15 June 2024.

A Look Back at Our Participation at Expo-Mango 2024 in #Baní!
We are proud to have contributed to Expo-Mango 2024, from 29 May to 2 June, a
flagship event held by the PROMANGO Cluster del Mango Dominicano. On 31 May,
during the technical day, COLEAD.link had the opportunity to present on How to
Create a Successful Mango Processing Business: Key Factors to Consider by Dr.
Colmar Serra, our National Relay in the Dominican Republic.

This presentation was done as part of our #FFM+ programme and was particularly
well received. The event gathered between 80 and 230 participants and covered
varied topics ranging from sector support policies to modern technologies for
increasing productivity, crop management, plant protection as well as thermal
treatment.

Boosting Business in the Ugandan Horticultural Sector via COLEAD.link’s
Resources and Network.” The webinar attracted 75 participants and began with

Just published – #AGRINFO UPDATE 26 : https://lnkd.in/e_5E8W3m

highlights upcoming opportunities to give feedback on new #EU proposals – on
food additives, plant health, and official controls. It’s important for
countries to give feedback on proposed changes to regulations, especially where
they could impact trade. #AGRINFO UPDATE 26 covers new EU regulations on food
and feed safety, and on animal health; a report on unfair trading practices; and
guidance documents on hygiene requirements for animal products, and on organic
beekeeping.

We also introduce our monthly report on #RASFF notifications, where #EU food
safety authorities exchange information on food or feed identified as a health
risk due to contaminants. Producers and exporters may need to take action to
ensure the safety of their products, and to avoid disruptions to trade.

from 2026, with stricter rules of origin labelling for honey, a new category of
reduced-sugar fruit juices, and a higher minimum quantity of fruit in jams. Find

There will be new restrictions on use of the food additives tartaric acid and
tartrates from December 2024. You can send feedback to World Trade Organization
and #EU consultations on maximum residue levels for isopyrazam; and proposed

consultations, and gives the deadlines. #Reminder: new model certificates for
animal products exported to the EU will be compulsory from 15 June 2024.

A Look Back at Our Participation at Expo-Mango 2024 in #Baní!
We are proud to have contributed to Expo-Mango 2024, from 29 May to 2 June, a
flagship event held by the PROMANGO Cluster del Mango Dominicano. On 31 May,
during the technical day, COLEAD.link had the opportunity to present on How to
Create a Successful Mango Processing Business: Key Factors to Consider by Dr.
Colmar Serra, our National Relay in the Dominican Republic.

This presentation was done as part of our #FFM+ programme and was particularly
well received. The event gathered between 80 and 230 participants and covered
varied topics ranging from sector support policies to modern technologies for
increasing productivity, crop management, plant protection as well as thermal
treatment.

Hortifreshffv, the leading Business Member Organisation (BMO) representing the
Ugandan horticultural private sector, organised a successful webinar themed
Boosting Business in the Ugandan Horticultural Sector via COLEAD.link’s
Resources and Network.” The webinar attracted 75 participants and began with
presentations of our digital resources and network by colleagues from various
#COLEAD departments. Additionally, the Avocado Association of Uganda (#AAU) and
eProd Solutions Limited presented the #COLEAD R&IB project on farmer profiling
and on-field soil quality scanning for the Ugandan avocado sector. Overall, the
webinar was a success, and the team is receiving positive feedback!

#Macrut2024 - A team from COLEAD.link (Technical Assistance and Market Insights)
attended the trade fair Macfrut Fiera 2024 in #Rimini from 8-10 May. An overview
was also given of the range of publicly available resources on #COLEAD's website

Just published – #AGRINFO UPDATE 26 : https://lnkd.in/e_5E8W3m

highlights upcoming opportunities to give feedback on new #EU proposals – on
food additives, plant health, and official controls. It’s important for
countries to give feedback on proposed changes to regulations, especially where
they could impact trade. #AGRINFO UPDATE 26 covers new EU regulations on food
and feed safety, and on animal health; a report on unfair trading practices; and
guidance documents on hygiene requirements for animal products, and on organic
beekeeping.

We also introduce our monthly report on #RASFF notifications, where #EU food
safety authorities exchange information on food or feed identified as a health
risk due to contaminants. Producers and exporters may need to take action to
ensure the safety of their products, and to avoid disruptions to trade.

Cette section rassemble des ressources techniques développées par le COLEAD.
Elles sont conçues, actualisées et diffusées via des programmes financés par des
bailleurs de fonds. Elles sont basées sur des besoins spécifiques du secteur
horticole des pays d’Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique. Ces ressources sont
utilisables par d’autres filières agricoles et d’autres régions qui souhaitent
accroître leur contribution à l’atteinte des Objectifs de Développement Durable
(ODD). Le COLEAD est certifié ISO 21001. Cette certification est un standard de
