SOFTWARE ENGINEER FOR ROBOTICS – KNOWLEDGE BASE (M/F/D)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 * Design and development of a robot-autonomy-framework for modeling the
   configuration and the behavior of a robotic system 
 * Integration of hardware and simulated devices by explicitly modeling the
   capabilities they offer to the system 
 * Development of software components for modeling the robot’s belief state  
 * Data Engineering

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

At Agile Robots AG we are developing intelligent robotic systems and automation
solutions. The complexity of such systems and the tasks, that have to be solved
autonomously, increases rapidly. Therefore, professional frameworks and tools
for programming robots efficiently are required. 

We build various frameworks for orchestrating complex robotic systems to solve
challenging tasks autonomously. This includes tools for skill programming and
parameterization, semantic data modeling and processing, and system
configuration. 

Currently, we are searching for a candidate with a general background in
computer science, robotics, and software engineering to become part of our
team. 

You will join a fast-moving, international team developing both prototypes and
products

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 * Bachelor/Master (or comparable practical experience) in computer science,
   robotics, artificial intelligence, or related fields 
 * 5+ years of work experience
 * Experience in robotics 
 * Passionate software engineer and programmer 
 * Experience in database systems 
 * Experience with Python 
 * Proficiency in Linux 
 * Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
 * Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
 * Fluency in English and a good command of German are beneficial

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

 * Experience in software for modeling a robot’s belief state
 * Knowledge about ontologies and Semantic Web technologies SPARQL 
 * Experience in Semantic Web technologies 
 * Experience in Graph Databases 
 * Experience in Javascript 
 * Knowledge of web communication technologies (such as GraphQL, REST, and
   WebSockets) 
 * Experience with CI / CD frameworks 
 * Experience in contributing to open-source software
