Olon is proud to have served the furniture and cabinet making industries for
more than 40 years.

Our company has grown in that time, evolving to become one of North America’s
leading single-source manufacturers of quality component and custom solutions.

The entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to our customers that was
the cornerstone of our business in 1981 remains the foundation of everything we
do today.


THE FOLLOWING IS A SUMMARY OF THE MAJOR MILESTONES IN OUR HISTORY:

Timeline

Activities

1981

Poly Plast Sales started in Brampton, ON. by Ed Almeida to supply PVC, polyester
and wood veneer edge banding to customers in Southern Ontario.

1983

Poly Plast Edgebanding Inc. formed by Almeida and his business partner Richard
Locke.

1985

Company began manufacturing profile wrapped mouldings.

1987

Company added the manufacturing of miterfold drawers & continued expansion of
all product lines across North America.

1989

Acquired Laminating Technology Inc. (formerly Pace Industries) in Northbrook,
IL. A producer of thermofused decorative laminates, LTI was a synergistic
addition to the product offering.

1994

Richard Locke restructured the company with the passing of Ed Almeida.

1995

Poly Plast’s Canadian administrative and manufacturing headquarters moved from
Brampton, ON to Georgetown, ON.

1998

Acquired Riverside Labs in Geneva, IL. The company specialized in custom
saturation of decorative papers and was a strategic supplier to LTI.

1998

OLON is formed - bringing Poly Plast, Laminating Technology and Riverside Labs
under one corporate banner.

2000

Acquired Eurodrawer Inc., a manufacturer of miterfold drawers with manufacturing
facilities in Mocksville, NC, Washington, IN, and White City, OR.

2002

Acquired Woodcraft Industries, a manufacturer of profile wrapped mouldings based
in Atlanta, GA. Relocated the Northbrook, IL laminating facility to Geneva, IL
and opened the St. Charles, IL distribution center.

2003

Consolidated Mocksville, NC drawer production to Washington, IN.

2005

Consolidated White City, OR drawer production to Washington, IN. Washington
facility awarded “Business of the Year ” by Davies County Chamber of Commerce.

2006

Consolidated profile wrapping in Atlanta, GA to Georgetown, ON. Expanded
manufacturing capacity in Georgetown with purchase of 46 Armstrong Ave.

2007

Olon Washinton relocated & expanded into a new 112,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art
manfacturing facility providing significant incremental capacity. Olon partnered
with Huron Capital, a leading private equity firm based in Detroit, MI to
recapitalize the business and prepare for organic and acquisitional growth.

2008

Don Hambly joined Olon as President & COO. Richard Locke remained as CEO.
Divested PVC, Melamine & ABS edgebanding product lines to Dura Edge Inc.
Acquired Creative Products, Jeffersonville, IN, a highly synergistic
manufacturer and distributor of custom profile wrapped mouldings.

2009

Richard Locke retired & Don Hambly assumed the CEO role. Consolidated operations
in Georgetown, ON and in Geneva, IL. Olon Washington wins Indiana Safety and
Health Achievement Recognition Program (INSHARP) award in recognition of
exemplary safety & health management systems & performance.

2010

Developed & launched an entirely new “Natural” (woodgrain) finish for Olon
laminates. Natural finish was presented to and accepted by our TFL partners who
launched their own versions of the Olon Natural Finish.

2011

Launched NEXGEN™ Laminates as an economical, durable alternative to wood
available in 150+ stock color/ finish options. Developed & introduced “Belluno”
finish for NEXGEN™ laminates - TFL partners follow with matching finishes.
Relocated & expanded Jeffersonville, IN operations to a new 100,000+ sq. ft.
facility to support growth & optimize efficiency.

2012

Olon Jeffersonville wins major new business with IKEA. Olon Geneva launched
NEXGEN™ LINK25 Formable Laminate for vertical and light duty horizontal
surfaces. This product is an alternative to HPL and is available in
complementary matches to TFL and LPL in either 4\' x 8\' sheets or continuous
rolls.

2013

Launched a major 5 Piece Door wrapped moulding initiative focused on the US
market & Western Canada. Olon Washington developed & launched a new Plywood
drawer side program.

2014

Dramatically expanded our US sales force. Developed & launched 4 new NEXGEN™
finishes & announced partnership programs with 3 new TFL partners in the US.

2015

Olon Acquired Carolina Drawers Inc. of Lexington, NC providing a major drawer
product line expansion to include solid wood & Baltic birch plywood drawer
components. New capabilities include domestic kiln drying, rough milling,
dovetailing, UV finishing, edgebanding and drawer box assembly. Olon
Jeffersonville launched a glazed molding product offer.

2017

Olon Ownership Transition Complete. White Owl Family Office Ltd. together with
the executive team of Olon are pleased to announce that they have successfully
partnered to complete the acquisition of Olon Industries. The ownership change
and associated recapitalization demonstrate strong support for Olon’s growth
plan while creating the financial stability to support future investments.
Developed two supplier partnerships in Canada for VelourTouchTM laminated
specialty panel distribution.

2018

Joint Venture between Olon & Licar to establish OL Frontal Solutions (OLFS) in
Jeffersonville, Indiana to produce high volume 5 piece assembled door production
in the US market for major kitchen cabinet manufacturers. Major investment in
OLFS for door assembly equipment and specialty panel lamination equipment.

2019

Major shift in management, Greg Stoner becomes the new President & CEO of
Olon/OL Frontal Solutions. Major investment in Olon for state-of-the-art panel
laminator for the Georgetown, Ontario facility to bring production of
VelourTouchTM in house.

2020

Olon launches the PÜRDECOTM specialty panel division including 2 new
collections: GlossTouchTM and Essentials as well as expands panel distribution
network beyond Eastern Canada into North America.

2021

Olon revitalizes and updates its overall brand architecture making the strategic
decision to REFRESH the Olon brand to modernize, maximize, maintain as well as
expand its position and market share. This change will also tie in with the
company’s 40th Anniversary.

2023

Olon divests itself from the OLFS joint venture. Major shift in management,
Sylvain Duchesne becomes the new President of Olon and new Vice-Presidents are
hired in Operations, Finance and Sales.
