It aims to match Vision actions and goals to wider planning and other policy guidance, to realise growth opportunities along the Thames, and integrate the river into the economy and local communities. Drawing on our unique mix of marine and planning expertise, our goal is for the Tidal Thames Masterplan to capture all potential strategic opportunities on the river and provide clarity in decision-making processes. Developed in partnership with local authorities and other partners to guide investment decisions, including for developers, it draws out the local opportunities for trade, travel, sport and nature along the Thames and its riparian hinterland, in line with the Thames Vision’s three central themes: Trading Thames, Destination Thames and Natural Thames.
